I am a 20 year old. I’ve been running a small consultancy for around 8 months now. We help startups and SMEs prepare for funding. We build pitch decks and get small businesses in front of VC funds, investors etc. I have just dropped out of university to persue my vision. My goal is to start a VC fund of my own and your videos aid me with the steps I need to take.

@@francescobullo8272 The only advice I would give is you need to weigh up what is more important long term. I dropped out mainly because university wasn’t giving me the fulfilment I was looking for. I wanted to network and expand my knowledge of business in my degree and I wasn’t getting either. I have learnt more in the last 8 months getting hands on experience than university could’ve taught me in at least the first 2 years. If you want to drop out, do it with a plan and attack it hard! Don’t let the lack of parenting or dictation let you be stagnant. You have to set up opportunities for yourself and make things happen!

To be honest, I'm quite new to the space, I was trying to make sense of 'forward thinking' metrics I have seen on start-ups websites, jobs posts etc...trying to figure out companies' valuation though most of them are not profitable, trying to figure out why usually they don't have any process in place in favour of mind blowing yoy growth. Basically I take anything as a stepping stone towards personal knowledge augmentation, so I have been able to undercover 1 thing or 2. VC seems pretty risky so it's something I'm savouring theoretically. However, M&A it's where I'd like to head, I'm just a bit behind schedule in terms of age. But Fin is actually so interesting. Subbed!

Bridger, very insightful. I've started a (family) investment business and one of the things with which we struggle is identifying potential deals in the first place. So far much of it is word-of-mouth. Do you have any suggestions on resources to identify potential deals with private stock offerings?

Great video. I’ve been around VC in the Silicon Valley for years. Seems God always places me right next to Start Ups, Seeds, VC’s and Billionaires, even a trillion-air from the industrial families. While I’ve always been around it, I decided it’s time to finally jump in. And you’re LDS? I’m a convert from the Silicon Valley lol. My first Bishop is a Venture Capitalist in SF and the Father of Elder that confirmed me is a Venture Capitalist in Provo. My neighbors and dear friends in Los Gatos are founding members of Sequoia. So I always attract VC as I said 😂 While I’m familiar with a lot of the process of taking a company from an idea to an IPO, I loved the basics on the other side in this video. Thank you for sharing.
