Notes for myself: 1) *Unstimulate your brain.* Take breaks that let your brain unstimulate: - go for a walk - medidate - gym This way when you do the boring task, your brain has stopped expecting the constant hits of dopamine that easy content provides. 2) *Productivity playlist.* Make a playlist that you only listen to while working. This way, your brain will start associating that playlist with being productive, so in the future when you put it on, its easier to enter a productive minset. 3) *Use caffeine correctly* - 300mg/day - L-thianine 4) *Get past the concentration hump.* Do the task for more than 20min, and you will enter a productive state - or flow state. NOTIFICATIONS OFF!

About the hump, I've noticed when I want to quite the work and go to youtube as I did just now it's either I saw the loong list of editing I need to do or there is one particular editing that is not comfortable for me. So the solution for me is not to go through the whole list but focus on one point each time or just to force myself for one minute to do the uncomfortable thing and after it goes smoother. Our brain tries to avoid difficulties at any cost and sometimes it wins

I strongly believe that those two are powerful motivators.

Thankfully, I was stimulating my brain enough to come across this video and your channel. I, too, use the "Do Not Disturb" feature on my iPhone. Connection terminated. I'm sorry to interrupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name. But I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You are not here to receive a gift, nor have you been called here by the individual you assume. Although you have indeed been called. You have all been called here. Into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune. A labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped. Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber, always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. But you will never find them, none of you will. This is where your story ends. And to you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing not intended for you. Although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well, I am nearby. This place will not be remembered, and the memory of everything that started this can finally begin to fade away. As the agony of every tragedy should. And to you monsters trapped in the corridors: Be still and give up your spirits, they don't belong to you. For most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps more waiting for you after the smoke clears. Although, for one of you, the darkest pit of Hell has opened to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting, old friend. My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. I'm sorry that on that day, the day you were shut out and left to die, no one was there to lift you up into their arms the way you lifted others into yours. And then, what became of you. I should have known you wouldn't be content to disappear, not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now. It's time to rest. For you, and for those you have carried in your arms. This ends for all of us. End communication.

Summary 1) waking up early before your schedule and doing the task you have been procrastinating on the whole time 2) create yourself a productivity playlist and practice being productive while listening to it cuz otherwise, you will create bad brain associations and become prone to being non-productive when listening to it a second time. 3) Consume Caffeine Smartly: (Note: you can use caffeine to your advantage; more specifically, if you have a pretty much steady set of activities in terms of energy required for it, caffeine isn’t recommended, on the other hand, it can be used) a) don’t exceed 300mg/day b) space out dosages of caffeine throughout the day, meaning don’t take it all once and don’t use it on an empty stomach 4) the ‘Concentration Humb’ Take advantage of the ‘flow state’ where after 20 minutes of work, you will be able to enter that state without having the urge to quit, turning phone notifications or even keeping your phone away from the work environment you have made can be really helpful as well. Thank me later

Any updates? Did the advice help? What helps me with my ADHD is just working around my issues instead of fighting them - when I'm doing something boring I just know I won't hyperfocus on 1. I take a lot of breaks (like 10 mins of pomodoro and 3 minutes break; sounds ridiculous but it's much better than doing 10 mins of work and realizing I got distracted couple hours later...) 2. I try to limit distractions in my environment - clean desk and noise canceling headphones with good playlist are a must. 3. Setting up website blocking extension keeps reminding me I should be working when I inevitably become distracted 4. I make sure I am slowly sipping on something hydrating and preferably sugary so I don't get tired from low blood sugar. Getting a little bit of exercise beforehand is also good. It's still hard, but easier!

That is a good idea about the Playlist. I have a special kickboxing workout system I do, and I only listen to my Playlist when I'm doing that. I also have specific workout clothes that are only worn when fight training. Keeps it sacred/set apart.

Focus is something that needs to be mastered. No matter what. I have heard a lot about nootropics? Anyone else tried them? Anyway lovely video buddy ! Hope everyone is smashing their day.

I'm getting a job soon, and this unstimulizing idea is exactly what I needed to realize right now. I'll be way more motivated now to just do work and deal with the side-effects of not getting enough dopamine.

Dude I can really relate to you regarding ADHD/mental illness, I've struggled for years to try and stay organized- stay focused, and to commit to projects, I always thought I might have some sort of autism, and I've had teachers make comments (in Art class I had a breakdown about feeling stressed and not being able to focus because I felt like the stuff they were getting us to do didn't matter to me, she said I might be autistic) (At university I was talking to a lecturerer about not being able to focus, feeling stressed, feeling down and not having many friends at the time, he said I might have ADHD (not gonna bore you with any more examples)) the main issue I have at the moment is I keep telling myself to go to sleep on time but regardless of what I have on the next day, I'll stay up until like 5-6AM either on youtube, talking on discord, or distracted by whatever, I see it as a habbit that has been conditioned over years, and I'll always find something to feel comfortable doing before bed that keeps me up, or I'll have a burst of creativity and go and work on something late at night (the latter is quite rare) I think the issue with labels is with what they mean to you, to some having autism might seem like a challenge they have to overcome, whereas others might see it as a flaw, something they can't fix, something that will hold them back in life.

Thanks Joey. Great video. I always like hearing about how people focus and engage in life. In my case I found out only a couple of years back that I have and always have been ADHD. Since I didn't know I developed habits and routines to help me through school, college and at work to keep on task, stay focused and work efficiently.
