thanks for the vid, the end of the hill was coming.

My first attempt at stopping was on a fairly steep hill, in the woods, on an advanced level board and in hiking boots. Didn’t go well.

Great vid how i learned is you lift up your front foot toes if you know what i mean and that should make your board turn and then you put all the pressure on your heels

Dang I saw this one a day late. Went to snowflex today and got decent going down but fell all but one time at the end when I was traveling way faster than I wanted to for my first time on a board

Just make sure you don't counter rotate when stopping.
@MiguelSanchez-hy5wv4 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking. For beginners, that's not what you want to teach them because it makes it way harder. Counter rotation is when you start getting more comfortable stopping on both edges.

I went for my first time ever yesterday on the lift and after i got off and started, i fell so many times that i think i dislocated my shoulder but i did enjoy the lil bit of riding i did. Any tips on why my knees started shaking? I fell wayyy too many times

When I tried stopping, i kept turning towards weak side which is my left side and my board faced down that way. I ride with my right foot forward. How can i stop from doing that? Because i fell every time

Why is toe side brake soo much harder?! Is rocker/chamber board good for a beginner first timer? What's the best position for both bindings?

usually, you can’t force yourself to stop quickly. you have to let it gradually happen

Stopping comes naturally first you must learn how to turn by practicing a single J turn. Teaching people how to stop right off the back is too much for most people. You’re here to turn people on to snowboarding not off so make it easy for them
@JohnathanBuckhouse4 жыл бұрын
A stop is a J turn 🤦🏼♂️
@thelifeofalii3334 жыл бұрын
Bruh what
@paulyedward55634 жыл бұрын
Johnathan Buckhouse a J turn is a J turn which in turn will become a stop. Once you start turning back up hill on a J turn gravity comes into play and will help stop the board naturally . Practice maintaining that pressure and you’ve got yourself a stop. Make it easy for them not harder as snowboarding is hard enough to learn

Sounds like you should get a lesson. The instructor can totally help you get the turn.
