Aside from the pathologically confident types, we all second-guess to some degree. But you might be suffering from second guessing too much, to the point that you feel your life is going nowhere, you’re limiting your actions and tripping over your tongue. In this short video, Giridhari Das suggest ways to understand and overcome this situation.

Thanks so much. I have gotten to a point that I understand not everyone would like me , but when it comes to the point of sisters, I am still processing

Sisters are no different. Anybody else. It just doesn't matter. Mother, daughter, son, father, friend... all humans have endless challenges of their own and we should not expect anything from them. We focus, instead, on our own choices. Our own state of consciousness is the sole focus.

This was very helpful. I appreciate the idea that what I was framing as “second guessing” is actually observing. ❤️

I love to Meditate. I try to stay away from drama. I don't really like it. But it like drags you in. I want to stay away from that. I need to focus on doing my best. Love to feel the Peace, Love and Happiness. Love that feeling. Let life flow. Be yourself, be happy while doing your thing. Don't worry about others.❤️❤️❤️

@@3tpath The thing I'm dealing with the most isn't even so much the results of what I do but the action in which I'm supposed to take seems like one that's inapropriate for the situation. I feel like it's not fitting enough to warrant it. But then people laugh at me and not that that's the point of pleasing others but by not doing what any person should makes it hurt me by letting people walk on me. So if someone for example says something to me some smart ass comment or just insults me on what I'm doing and staring me down afterward, rather than telling them to just straight fuck off I think that it's not what's fitting to do even though it's actually quite necessary for those situations- in order for them to not 'walk on me' or 'punk me'. This is the sole thing that's remaining holding me back. I know I'm good enoguh even though I told myself otherwise and letting myself be lowered to what other people have said of me like planting a seed but I'm the one who grew it. Anyway all things like that I've overcome. The only thing that remains is these mental blockades that I've developed. I don't know how to fix that. How can I convince myself that it's an appropriate thing when it is but I don't really believe it??? Oh and one last thing I'm not trying to say what Should I do in those situations (because we all of us can debate all day long on what any one of us would or should do) but rather what is necessary to do to protect oneself.
@3tpath
@3tpath 3 жыл бұрын
@@joeslacker1020 I'd question the basis of "protecting yourself" in this case. Like you said, who cares what these people think, right? If you're dealing with ignorant/rude people, then nothing really works with them, except violence, be it verbal or physical. But the real question is: why have these people around you? Why need to deal with these people in the first place? Can you just go about your life? Can you ignore them? And not lower yourself to their animal-like existence?
@joeslacker1020
@joeslacker1020 3 жыл бұрын
@@3tpath With all due respect of course I cannot ignore them, an intelligent man like myself has considered options other than that one dimensional way of thinking. If I was simply able to do so then I would have done that. But obviously unless me and you are in some completely different universe consisting of different realities then I can 100% confidently say that there at a certain point and level of someone putting their energy forth towards you in a negative way whether your defenses be more imprenatrable than the next guy or less than him - that you literally HAVE to do something about it. What that is perhaps is debatable like I had said. But hypothetically (actually realistically) lets say what I'm saying about telling someone to f off is the one and only solution to whatever that situation that requires so may be. Ok now that that's out of the way. Don't take this as me being pretentious either, I'm coming to you for your opinion, which I hope to be taken as something honoring rather than a trolling type thing. And to answer those other questions, yeah I do have to be around those type of people people are going to be a part of my life regardless, unless I'm a hermit living on my own on some desolate land. I wouldn't want that for a number of reasons so what's left is having to deal with people. And with people there are many and many different personalities. I cannot control them but I can control what I do about what they do and act to me. Being this a real situation and not in my head, I'm desperate for a solution. My way is different than their way I'm never lowing myself in these types of situations because even if I do act similar the same or on the same intensity of energy, the difference really is they initiate it with the intent of harming me in some way. Me doing the same thing back wouldn't be the same in a different sense because of that fact. They are aggressing with malicious and undignified unrighteous intent. Me responding even in the same exact way differs greatly being that I'm am the righteous one defending me and what is mine. So it brings me back to what I was trying to figure out. How in the world do I convince myself to say waht I need to say and actually convince myself that it's actually appropriate to whatever may be happening. One thing I forgot to mention part of the reason for these situations I incur is that I've tried this same thing so many times and it has not worked, but there is a timing for things this is a different story almost altogether but when I tell myself "I've tried this a million times it has not worked" Then even if the situation is nearly completely different my relation is what I need to say is the same as the other times I've encountered difficulties but those difficulties weren't the same as the current situation. So for example. If I told someone to f off and they told me I was a stupid idiot and that I don't deserve this and that, and by doing so they either continued or did something else I didn't like. I then have somoene else who will do something that is different than that completely but still an attack but my association to that now new attack is that because last time I said what I want to say now is the same I don't say it. Even though it will work. Yeah I know it was a tad confusing but I'm just trying to figure out how to not say "I've done this a million times before it hasn't worked" and also I guess not worry so much about being wrong about what I'm going to say or how I'm going to act. Even comes up with my family where I'm like hmmm not sure, and then I end up doing or saying nothing and pay even higher consequence than if I had just picked something that might've even been the wrong th ing to say or do. Thanks man

@@joeslacker1020 Hi, Joe! I don't know about desolate lands, but I'll tell you: I haven't had to tell anyone to f-off in decades. In my life I find there I can be true to myself AND be dharmic (act well, ethical, etc.). If someone goes to me aggressive I'll either just ignore them or take the high road. Of course, if I had to physically defend myself or an innocent person under my responsibility, I would, even with lethal force if duty called for it. I don't think using foul and aggressive language is a useful tool for dealing with anyone. So, I would say your resistance to act in such a way is actually a good thing.
