As someone currently suffering from general anxiety reading your comment makes me feel sooo happy for you. Lately I have been watching Dennis videos and I am seriously considering signing up for his program, I feel excited @ the thought of doing it, but can’t get around to actually doing it, definitely a part of the anxiety, every time I tell myself to do it, I get overwhelmed and feel like I don’t know how to 😭

I noticed that too! I used to think if I could just think through/worry about something, I could solve it. It wasn’t a productive process. I still do it and am trying to find actual solutions/actions. I feel this is a step in the right direction. 😊

I been struggling with shortness of breath for the past 3/4 months. Goes on for hours at a time, honestly can’t wait for this to pass, it’s such a hard symptom to ignore.
@glenmason18765 ай бұрын
This is how mine started in 2020, I felt as though I could not get a full breath, it's really worrying, and I know what you are feeling, mine lasted about a month, I did research on the internet about what causes it, because nobody including doctor's could tell me, it's caused by hyperventilating, and despite feeling breathless, it's the opposite, you are breathing, but your body does not need it
@Savarge5 ай бұрын
@@glenmason1876 Yh I agree, I can tell it’s my anxiety cos when I get into a long conversation with someone it tends to ease right off. So hard though even though you know what it is, it’s still a struggle. Thanks for the comment

Worry is like an addiction. It can be quite hard to stop worrying when your whole body says the opposite of that. It creates a cycle that just takes time to get out from. So I agree that we can change how we respond to stress and worry in this now moment, but that will not prevent those anxiety related symptons to happen again in the next minute or so. That must be said. There is no instant relief from anxiety that will last forever, it's a long term commitment to the thruth that you are safe and those symptons are just mind body things that will not harm you, then you will be able to get out of the vicious cycles, even if those happen again (and they will for sure).

@Grimaldi1105602 ай бұрын
The antidote to anxiety is not calm, I read in a quote, it’s safety, so the narrative to our brain should be first to ask, is this perceived danger real or fabricated in my mind ?? Of course there are real dangers, but there are many more fabricated or magnified by our minds….hence the importance to create internal awareness of REAL safety rather than just be told or say I must be calm ! What do you think ?
