@@EvolveDentalHealing would you recommend oil pulling or is that going to wipe out the Microbiome? I’m using xylitol mints and also using xylitol after I brush my teeth at night and just letting it have contact with my teeth for five minutes each time I was wondering if that’s going to be enough or if I should use something like oil pooling with oregano oil just like one drop I’m having a lot of inflammation. My dentist said just use saltwater rinses which I feel like that dries my mouth out too much. I was also wondering what your thoughts are on hydrogen peroxide rinses

What are your thoughts on perio, are deep cleanings and antibiotics benefical?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
a definite yes to deep cleanings. Antibiotics when needed and can be delivered locally into the gum pockets. I will always try boosting the patients' immune system with supplements and dietary/lifestyle changes too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6a5lJacjtakrJosi=WoqoT_0ho-yheIYH

Do you think Grants toothpaste is good even though it has no hydroxyapatite or fluoride. I try apagard premio and it doesn't seem like my teeth like SLS, it's sad since apagard has really high nano particles in it.
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
its a nice natural toothpaste but as you say no hydroxyapatite- have you tried Gem that is Australian made and no nasties so long as you get the fluoride free version
@Phone-p9yАй бұрын
I can't find Gem in my country. Actually I just find Bioniq Repair is selling which have hydroxyapatite, don't think it's nano sized though. Does this seems better than Gem? Bit concern that Citric acid is in it. Ingredients: Aqua, Hydroxyapatite, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Silica, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Aroma, Cellulose Gum, Lactoferrin, Sodium Myristoyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract, Spirulina Platensis Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Zinc PCA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Saccharin, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Limonene. Aroma enthält Menthol und Eucalyptol. Another one is Biomed Calcimax. Aqua, Hydrated Silica, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Glycerin, Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Aroma, Xanthan Gum, Cellulose Gum, Calcium / Magnesium / Zinc Hydroxyapatite, Zinc Gluconate, Benzyl Alcohol, Kaolin, Menthyl Lactate, Mentha Piperita Oil, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Extract, Thymus Serpillum Oil, Betula Alba Leaf Extract, Plantago Major Leaf Extract, Sodium Bicarbonate, Arginine, Sodium Hydroxide, Ananas Sativus Fruit Extract, Maltodextrin, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Spirulina Maxima Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Limonene.
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
yes both those lists of ingredients seem ok

What about ksylitol gums?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
Yes I have done videos on xylitol and on how to use it to remineralise enamel
@chrisnam1603Ай бұрын
Xylitol is the word, yes this great dentist has a valuable video of it, you can find more video's on the web and find it now in all stores (and online)
@@EvolveDentalHealing I chew xylitol gum and suck on xylitol mints everyday, is this ok to do everyday?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
yes, you can actually have one after every meal 5-6g of xylitol per day is fine

I'm interested in the oral microbiome part of the video for stronger teeth health - that's something that's never been mentioned to me by a traditional dentist and I am recommended by them very chemical laden products for tooth and gum health. Can you take oral probiotics alongside a digestive probiotic?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
yes you can
@greenkitty82Ай бұрын
@@EvolveDentalHealingok if it will help I will take an oral probiotic too 😀 Currently for my dental hygiene I use interdental brushes/floss first, then rinse with a waterpik to get rid of anything more, then brush the teeth, then scape the tongue. Anything better I can do or is this good?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
Gosh, I wish more people would even do half of this. The rest comes down to diet and lifestyle.
@greenkitty82Ай бұрын
@@EvolveDentalHealingOh yes I'm very committed Dr Rachel and will do everything I can to be better. I mainly consume lots of vegetables, nuts, seeds, some fruit, chew on celery and carrots for fun and I also eat superfoods like Spirulina and Chlorella and chew xylitol gum between meals. I don't have white sugar or bread anything like that and I only drink water or herbal tea. I want to avoid dental work as much as possible. I am unsure as to which floss is best though with so much out there, what floss do you recommend people use? And is it safe to use interdental brushes once in the morning and then floss all the teeth once at night? With toothpaste is a probiotic one with hydroxyapatite ok to use? I'm worried about problems with fluoride.
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
look for a natural floss to avoid PFAS Toothpaste with hydroxyapatite is great, studies show it's very beneficial - even better than ones with fluoride.

I've also found tongue scraping makes me feel like I'm going to puke, any tips

tips don't start too far back, use light pressure, and breathe through your nose deeply. I have a video on it coming very soon
