Hey bro , great vid & tips The only issue is the ratio of the reels required for lure fishing.I know some reels are faster than other reels on the market, it would be a great idea for you to give your wishful viewers/ followers an idea as to what a minimum or max ratio speed of there's reels when using lure. Thkx for your great tips keep them coming cheers bro.

Hi mate , I’m in the marked for a medium beach / rock outfit. I’m looming at getting a 5000 sustain and a daiwa sea jigger 10’6 but I can’t decide on what one the 6-9kg or the 7-15kg ?

Great vid mate, i have been looking at the Penn Prevaill in the same rod. How do you feel the 12 foot rod goes off the rocks and bashing the water all day? Is there alot of arm fatigue?

Why left-handed, though? Most people are right-handed, but the left-handed reel set up seems to be promoted, for reasons I don't understand. I've been told it's due to left arm strength, but I still don't get it. JD
@nicholaszanker-close15733 жыл бұрын
I've heard it better for righties to use a lefty reel, as they usually cast predominately with their right arm. Thus having the reel handle left handed allows the angler to start the retrieve quicker which is better for reaction bite fishing in heavy structure where you want to get straight into the retrieve to limit snags and also to make sure you have the best chance of extracting that fish quickly from heavy structure
@johndenning92303 жыл бұрын
@@nicholaszanker-close1573 I guess so, but to me it just feels awkward trying to reel with my left hand. Plus, I suppose, I trained my left side to be as strong as my right side many years ago. Just changing the subject, with the third cast of my 2-4kg outfit yesterday flicking a soft plastic off a jetty, a 43cm trevally devoured it. What a great way to break in a new rod! JD

40 lb braid with 12 kg max rod isn't that just asking for trouble and bad casting.

Lachlan O'Neil that’s not how that works mate
@lachlanoneil89385 жыл бұрын
@@zackemp7637 well if you put the rod straight at the fish it won't snap but I don't think you know what your talking about because you will never need 40lb for tailor I caught an 80cm pink snapper on 20lb easily a week ago.
@SammyHitzkeFishing5 жыл бұрын
@@lachlanoneil8938 Hey mate, like I say in the video that is my heavy tailor setup. The 40lb braid is a lot more durable when it comes to repetitively cast heavy lures all session. The heavier poundage results in a lot less braid breakage due to wear. It also allows you to successful lift heavy fish up the rocks from the higher platforms or put a lot more pressure on the fish during rough conditions. The other upside is that if you hook a mulloway, mackerel, trevally or tuna while your casting you stand a half decent chance of landing it.
