I'm happy to help. It could just be that the rear end was changed out with a 65 or 66 rear end because I think were the tracking bar goes on the frame is the same. But at the end of the day when it's going down the road no one knows.

‘66 was the first/only year the 327 was an engine option. I believe you are correct on the 2-speed wiper switch, ‘66 only. Also, A/C became available as a dealer-installed option in ‘64. It was available from the factory starting in ‘65. I’ve read that seat belts became a government mandate in ‘66, however the only seatbelts I’ve ever seen in these trucks have always been something that an owner added. My ‘66 did not have them when I bought it and there is zero evidence it ever had them. It’s a shame seeing that ‘64 large rear window cab rusting away like that. Guys everywhere are hacking up small rear window cabs to convert them. I think that’s a shame too. The small rear window cabs are one of those quirky/cool things that make old trucks more interesting than new ones.

Interesting video. If you really want to mess up what you know, look into Canadian GMC's. They were designated 910, 920, and 930. Both our 64 and 65 had the serial number plate between the driver's door hinges. The 65 has 2 speed wipers with an electric washer pump. Both trucks have Chev inline sixes and coil springs. I got something to say but first, let me finish this last bite of crow. I'LL BE DIPPED. 64 and 66 emblem was fender and was bowtie/top and 10/bottom in an almost square configuration. One component is, each year of the '60-'66 Chevy trucks, Panels & Suburbans, has a one-year-only body badge and a year-specific location, as well as a Series-specific designation.
