Great video Captain. Clear & concise. Your video is one of many I have watched over the last few months but the difference is that you stress the importance to moisten the line & actually do it on camera. Many People who watch these types of videos are perhaps new to the sport and many may not realise that if you don't moisten the line before you tightening up will cause the line to loose up to 60% of its original strength. The amount of friction caused by not using lubrication is so important yet other so called experts fail to mention it at all. So Captain full marks to you and your excellent video.....

@FishingLongIsland5 жыл бұрын
Lorne Hargis make a big loop before the twist. Once you put loop through the twist, pull it a little n hold it snug. Now pull down on both ends till knot snugs up.

this is like a modified blood knot?
@FishingLongIsland4 жыл бұрын
It’s a dropper loop. Blood knot ties two lines together
@ariellevin30084 жыл бұрын
@@FishingLongIsland I understand it's a dropper knot, but it is made very similarly to a blood knot in that you embrace two 'lines' in a twist and then, unlike a blood knot you take the end, going the same direction, through the opening you created. By the way... nice content on youtube.

On the small loop you mentioned you could tie a leader to it. How would you do that? I have a hooks with line already on it from store how so I tie it to the loop?
@FishingLongIsland5 жыл бұрын
You would do loop to loop. Pass the loop from the pre-tied hook over the loop from your line coming from the rod. Now take the hook and put it through the loop coming from the rod. Pull all the hook line through the loop from the rod and a loop to loop not will form. I believe I have it it another video. I will look for you.

Add a twist to the loop. It’s even better I think the twisted dropper loop is much stronger and helps stop line twist. And you can switch out hooks and sinkers quick. Is the same thing, except you twist your loop Here’s is an explanation kzbin.info/www/bejne/aobaZpiBg6lrhsk
