The thought that the hands "themselves" swing around the wrists is an eye opener . Thanks for your videos.

I've been watching ten or so of your videos this morning and I love them all. But the single thought that occurs to me from this "session" is that you must be one of the smartest golf teachers ever! Your understanding and explanation of a golf swing is remarkable!

Thank you. Probably not the smartest by a long way. But hopefully helping you perceive the motion accurately. Perception is everything when you want to improve naturally. If your perception is incorrect, then you will struggle to progress.

Dan this was interesting. Would you also be able to substitute a club for the aim stick once we learn this way to properly swing.

The point you made about the hands being part of the club, and in an previous video, effectively moving the clubs centre of mass up towards the hands is really IMO the only way you can actually “swing” a golf club. You may have to repeat this many times in videos, with different feels, before people actually try it and grasp how important this concept is to understand how an actual golf “swing” actually feels. Thanks for your insights.

Very few people talk about this which I reckon is why the golf industry has spectacularly failed over the last 50 years to improve the standard of golf - keep your grip pressure constant throughout the swing is another thought to have

Dan I am very guilty especially with Driver trying to use my hands & arms to create a faster swing. This causes me imbalance into my finish & very poor impact due to slicing. I have tried so many swing methods to fix this slice including getting more closed at Address. My swing path is out to in across the target line. How do I when using your method change this path & how should I be using my hands correctly to aid a square clubface into impact. Would dearly love some help as my love for the game is being severely eroded just because of this issue.

First thing I would do is get The PRO. You need to learn how to transfer momentum from your body to the arms and the club. It's very difficult once you have created habits with a golf club to change it with a club. As you learn how to properly swing the PRO, you will have a working model of how a swing works and a good swing only works on a functional plane. Basically, if you learn how to swing my product correctly, you are learning to swing correctly and will have a much better roadmap of how to apply to the club. Thansk!

Hi Dan. I just got the Swing Pro today. For your regular golf swing with a club, should your grip be as loose as swinging the Pro?
@danmartingolf3 жыл бұрын
Jeff, thx for purchasing the PRO! No, the PRO is so sensitive that it requires a really light grip to learn how to swing it. The key with the club is that your grip pressure is light enough to allow for full and unencumbered mobility of the wrist joints! Be sure to join our exclusive "PRO" owner Swing the PRO Resources group on CoachNow - you should have the link in the email you received shortly after purchase. I'm happy to review any videos you upload to help you learn to swing the PRO more effectively! Thanks!

my pro is trying to get me to swing my arms and have "passive hands" while maintaining a controlled grip of club... seems similar to what you are teaching. It is difficult to do. I tend to grip at the bottom of the swing at impact and can't seem to stop doing it.
@danmartingolf3 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely, it requires a lot of restraint! The missing element is that you need to learn how to transfer momentum from the rotation of your body to your arms to your hands. The entire system, when done correctly, requires no wrist action - just passive wrists so the hands/club system get pulled into the ball.
