Even I was also getting the same error, the issue is you have to change the settings in the firewall and security settings, (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Defender Firewall\Allowed apps). Enable File and print sharing.

Excellent. I've been trying to find a way to move epub and pdf files between my PC and iPad for ages. Apple just make the most trivial of jobs so damn difficult! Anyway, thanks bud, you're a star. Just one minor problem I had following your instructions was when I came to 1:35 and clicked on 'Add someone else to this PC. When you do it a new window opens for you to go through the setup process, but on my PC (Win 10), that didn't happen. Instead a different window opened with three columns in it listing Local Users and groups, and no obvious way to proceed. But here's how I eventually did it. In the 'Actions' column click on Actions to drop down 'More Actions' sub menu Click on 'More Actions' and select 'New user' Provide a user name Provide a password Untick 'User must change password at next logon' Close all windows. Then I continued as per your tutorial, and it works great! Thanks!

OK, that was an eye opener. I found files on the ipad that I didn't know were there. But what about transferring the photos from the ipad to the computer. iTunes doesn't recognize any of the photos on the ipad? Do you have a video on that.

I don't have any video on that If you want to transfer photos using this method then you need to open the photo, save it to local storage.

Great. I like this detailed video. I have had a bad time trying to tranfer data using OTG which was read as READ-ONLY due to its NTFS file system. Also, when I converted the USD drive to FAT32 system I was unable to transfer an ISO file that was 5.8 GB :). I have seen your video and transferring now using your method. That's perfect for me really as I am still a new iPhone user and I hated this phone. Android is much better and flexible in such matters. Thank you for your valuable video. It really saved me.

@@LearningLad ok jus to be clear...this is only a way to TRANSFER files seamlessly on same network but this is not a replacement for backing up entire iphone data in case iphone data needs to be wiped without any other option since apple has made their products like that...correct? So we should always routinely be backing up our apple device data via Itunes or Icloud correct? Also doing these file transfers...lets say we transfer all the files from iphone to laptop using this method shown...if the iphone data gets wiped in the files app...all the files transfered to the laptop...will they also get wiped on the laptop as well...or just the iphone itself? Also is there any other way to backup iphone data without itunes or icloud? Both services are crap for windows without a MacOS i'm currently experiencing and just switching over to Android...

Best solution to transfer Procreate projects to the laptop 👏 and as long as that account and folder is created if u need to use another wifi connection u just have to add the new IP in the iPad Files app.

All you need is a local network in order for this to work. files will be transferred locally so it wont consume data. ( if you are connected to the internet then also no issue )

Hello bro, thnq for this video. I faced a problem when i had to add and edit user, when i clicked on add someone i only got prompted to add an email id or phone number and it did not ask me for any password. Hence i just added an email id and followed the remaining instructions. However the step where I have to click on share, I do not find my email id in that drop down.
