Quick question, why don’t you trim the smaller parts that usually burn faster and the main bone off them first? They always cook faster for me and use them as a snack mid cook so I cut them off

so my uncle just gave me my first smoker and I’m excited to be using it and I just wanted to know can it sit there for 2-4 hours or do I have to put something else in between that time limit
@philamericancurtis
@philamericancurtis 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, thats a good question: First is your meat done (Smoker can be used to warm cooked meat as well) or you are still cooking. If you're ribs are still cooking then leave them for 2-4 hours on medium heat no problem thats why I like smoking meat. Make sure you have plenty of water and wood chips. Keep smoking meat and check out our other smoking meat video.

How long do you get out of a tank? Just won a gas smoker at work. I hear they're harder to use because of adjustment you have to make where electric are controlled electrically
@philamericancurtis
@philamericancurtis 2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Good question. It all depend on how much you smoke, but a tank will last me (three) months because I don't smoke every day. I like my gas smoker. I have never had an electric smoker but I heard you can control the temp easier. However, I can control my smoker temp just find unless it runs out of gas. I hope you subscribe and keep smoking meat.

I love my gas smoker I went big the very first time I used mine and smoked a 17 pound turkey for thanksgiving😬 but it came out perfect it cooked and stayed around 275 or so for 6-7 hours. The only thing I had to do was fill the water pan every 45 minutes.
