I'm so glad you still using a pressing comb girl it's been forever 😂 and grateful for your help understand how to get my hair that straight 😂 thought just flat iron was the only way..did you use silk press cream or just regular coconut oil?
@mojazzyhair8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! Absolutely not! I specialize in healthy hair and 90 percent of my clients are relaxer free...Prior to blow-drying a heat protectant is applied. Prior to silk pressing the hair another product is applied. This ensures that the hair is fully protected from heat damage and breakage.

Does it matter what flat iron you use if you press it with a comb first?
@angel54233 жыл бұрын
What pressing comb do you use please? And how do you heat it?

Very good teaching. Do u still use the hot barrel? I also love that too. I love the old school methods. I prefer not to use anything electric.

My daughter has natural african hair type 4 her father is congolese. it really takes a lot for me to do it.. till now I have not found the right flat iron or a way for me to really get the edges bcz that is where it’s most thick are her roots.. the back of her head is very tough and the middle but her from is softer and longer.. so it’s always a struggle for me bcz I don’t relax her hair.. I like the nappy look on her when I leave it free.. but when trying to straighten this is my problem area.. but this video helped me a lot bcz i just ordered one of these.

You need to put some actual 🔥 to that pressing comb. That'll get them edges straight.
@cocobrown7098 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't that be like way to much heat? The blow dryer the hot comb and a flat iron.
@thebossupacademy72616 жыл бұрын
No. She’s not pressing the entire head just the edges. (Perimeter)
@cfoster68044 жыл бұрын
@@thebossupacademy7261 Yeah the most fragile part, edges, is getting subjected to heat 3 times.

does anyone know how to clean one ?
@rogue06219 жыл бұрын
Years ago I used oven cleaner and it stripped the protective copper finished. I also tried lye perm, which is what I use to use to clean my flatiron when I had a perm. Get your pressing comb super hot, then place it in some perm for 10 sec. Rise several times and, use liquid soap and a toothbrush to ensure no perm is in the teeth of you pressing comb.
@mojazzyhair8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! Heating the comb and dipping it into relaxer helps removes dirt.
@cfoster68044 жыл бұрын
I heard soak it in vinegar and water solution.

I don't understand why people are pressing AND flat ironing. Just press and be done. Stop chasing Becky hair. That's why our hair is burned out!
@chinasao.27853 жыл бұрын

You need a new pressing comb and your client still got betta beeds after you pressed her edges. I think you need to watch a couple of these tutorials before speaking on this subject. maybe you need to stick to flat irons.
@mojazzyhair8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! After 20 years in the game, I know exactly what to do and how to do hair. I'm really praying for you because you missed the purpose of the video because of your ignorance and failure to have an open mind. Not that I owe you an explanation but the older the pressing comb the better.
