Thank you for your Video. Is there any solution/option/setting, which I can click/use so that the font ONLY provides the alternative characters. If I have a long text for example, I cannot sit and highlight each character right? It will take me forever (especially if the font has many alternative letters - a different "A" and a different "B" etc. ...) ...So I was wondering if there is a way, to be able ONLY to write in those alternatives letters.

So I start looking at another video about editing logos. I look up your video because it discusses open type - which I tried finding alternate letters for a font. I tried the "highlight with text tool" - doesn't work on AI 2021. I went to glyphs to look up the variations of letters. I get the entire catalog and there aren't alternate letter types to the font. I don't know if this is broken in the modern day version of AI, but now I'm frustrated because there's something I want to do in AI, that I can't.

Are you using a current version of Illustrator CC? It's a somewhat recent feature. Also not all Opentype fonts will have contextual alternatives.
