It still doesn’t work because they want me to enter the pairing code but when I click the remote, the light flashes but nothing happens. Do use your phone you need to period using the remote and my remote doesn’t want to work.

If you have another Apple TV remote or a friend has one, you can sync it to your Apple TV to get it going. After that connect it with an iPhone like this video mentions.
