Perfect!!! This worked amazing on my Maytag MMV5165BAS microwave (built August 2006). And I didn't have to remove the door, just did the repair in place. No need for the quarters. It was a 5 minute repair that saved me a lot of money. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you! I had to open up the inner door to get to two hidden screws on the broken handle - your video & the quarter trick helped me to get the inner door open enough to get to the 2 hidden screws and using a mini phillips head, I was able to finish the new handle replacement and got it all snapped back together (I didn't remove the door). A $25 fix for a 2004 microwave that is still in great condition but a broken handle!

I just had to replace the 2 handle mounting brackets on my Whirlpool microwave. This video was great and as others have stated, the quarter trick helped. I did have trouble getting the first plastic bevel off with a putty knife. Apparently my putty knife was too flexible. I did manage to get it all the way off except for the corners of the handle edge. I found if I used a long, very slim flat screwdriver, I was able to push on the tab from the inside to pop out the corner tabs (after stabbing around for a while). From there, just like the video. Thanks for the video.

Thank you. This helped tons. I got the handle replaced- I had to remove the door parts which was difficult. Everything is back together but the door doesnt show as closed ie light is constantly on and the start button doesnt work. Oh my!!

Thank You! Checking around I find that no microwave mfg warranties the door handle after 30 days. My 11 month old Bosch HMV8053U microwave handle came loose. This video covered the repair. Took 20 minutes and I did not have to take the door off to do it.

I got to the point of inserting the quarters to keep the end points from the inner door. But the end door is still stuck. I’m not sure how much force I’m suppose to be using to pop out the inner door. Any pointers?

Just a note that you can leave door on and do this in place, not having to move the oven.

Wow , just finished replacing handle . The guy who designed the dozen clips on the bezel should have gone to BOCES not Harvard . These clips are so hard to release ! I had to buy a new stiff putty knife and sit the door on a radiator to warm up everything first , then use the blade on the outside edge where the interlocking clips snap in , to pop up the edge of the bezel up . Well thats my two cents , GOOD LUCK .

I have a broken handle and the front face of the door at the handle cracked. So I need to replace both the handle and face. Apparently these 2 parts costs more than half the price of a NEW unit! Both cost total $180. That's a new microwave!!! It is only 4 years old and works great.. considering buying new. Lol

Worst choice I ever made was buying Samsung appliances. Have replaced the dishwasher, repaired the handle on refrigerator, and have replaced the handle on the microwave twice in 4 years. Also, had washing machine rebuilt (warranty fix) because it was a piece of junk!
