I totally agree. Since I started watching his videos I always end up thinking the same thing. In the 60 seconds format he keeps playing, speed is the number 1 determining factor in winning.

Without fail, every time I've tried a 2-position SA, with the second in Asia, Australia ALWAYS takes it out to manipulate fights between SA vs NA and/or SA vs Africa. ALWAYS. Once I had more in Asia than in SA, same thing. Never fails.

I commonly do that early in the game if I am in Australia. Australia is a losing position in the long run, so good to get the SA person forced to break Africa or NA

Have you tried stack guarding Mexico and blocking NA from being taken? Hard for someone to remove you with no boost. Easy to migrate your Asia troops thru Alaska 😉

If you are playing risk on your phone, going to your settings and turn everything off... You don't need it and you move exactly as Pete does, just a touch slower. Helped me greatly.

Pete's failed kill in the 1st game was an interesting move. Obviously it was bad dice and Pete wanted to succeed. I wouldn't have thought of trying for the kill, but it is an interesting signal to other players and trying to progress the game. So I think it was a good try.

Hosted Beg+ classic today. I played a prog game for 4 turns with an 8 stack in SA, and huge stack in Europe. Then I realized it was FIXED. By fortune, I was able to take SA without investing material due to alliance with Africa player. Held with no added troops long enough to establish in EU over bot material. NA player wrecked my ally the turn after homie took SA, but failed to kill. Easy dub and was able to give 2nd to ally. Understanding and navigating alliances can make or break you, in fixed. Avoid the noob slam 🙅🏼‍♂️

Star trek wise the Doctor almost single handedly made Voyager (Seven wasn't bad but after a certain point it was obvious how a seven episode would go). I also rate the Orville... started inconsistently but 2nd half of season two onwards is top tier.

Holy shit, White didn't lose a single troop in his run at 43:53. 10 attacks and then a 5 vs. 3 and didn't lose a single troop to dice. Literally not a single troop. That's ridiculous. I hate it when bad play gets rewarded.

I have definitely won from the Australia position before but it requires a lot of luck. Basically you have to hope the other players completely destroy each other and end up so weak that they can't contest Asia. It works best if one of them is a bot.

Exactly. Majority of my games NA/EU get broken by SA/Africa because the fear of one player running ahead of everyone else. By the time everyone realizes how strong the AU player got, they already took Asia and hold for a turn. From then on grudges begin and players would rather suicide into each other than work together to break Asia/AU player. I guess that’s why No-Australia No-Win is so popular. If you get left alone long enough then the only thing stopping you are either everyone working together against you or getting suicided into.

We use the blitz slider to minimize unnecessary troop loss because of the way the bb algo works

@@turtlebeach3116 he slides the amount of troops so he gets a hundred percent success rate (which you see at the top) the algortihm makes it so he can't lose more troops than he put in. When you roll 2 vs 1 it's advantageous to roll manually. You click on the arrows next to the dice and it will actually roll rather than run it automatically.

Wouldn't you have had a better chance to win if you'd given up Australia when he consolidated on Brazil and card blocked him in SA? You might've been able to take NA instead of him or worst case, gotten the bot to break him when he moved the stack to threaten you?

4 player prog on the space map biggest player had 180 troops everyone else had below 60 I had 28 left he caps unguarded and focused on takin bonuses I killed both other players gettin 2 trades and taking all caps winning the game

In the 2nd game, don't agree with Pete opening the red bot 70 repeatedly until it finally split. It was helpful to Pete for magenta to keep most of his troops blocking that stack. I have won games from a troop deficit by manipulating bots. In particular, single-stacking in NA to stop the SA player taking territory in NA. Single-stacking along with hitting a few 1s is the best way to avoid being stack-hit by the bot. Okay, maybe magenta was smart enough to leave his bonus, but why not test it rather than waiting to be smothered in Australia? If magenta had been better, they would have left their bonus much earlier to kill Pete, then kill the bot, so maybe that was some passivity/inexperience to exploit.

Australia is basically a fortress with one way in and out and a bonus of 2 troops a turn. Australia is a good starting position if you can get it

The token/energy system is the main thing holding this game back from growth. I think the game has been out long enough that Hasbro has been able to recoup their investment, and can generate further profit from their efforts with cosmetics. If they didnt have a hard/soft limiter and the amount people can play the game. More people would. I will never understand why a game would shoot itself in the leg by limiting the amount a player can play, the game.

What is your opinion on bots winning games. I invested 2.5 hours into a game only for another player to “go offline” and have an expert bot take over and win. I defeated all the other players, but the bot was too powerful to overcome and when the point were calculated it gave me 2nd place.

I think if you bot out and the game ends before the 10 min surrender time is done, you should get the lowest remaining finishing position.
