I live 30 mins outside of omaha neb and will be attending this year, it will be my 1st Ever modeling event. I can't wait. So I can meet folks, and to purchase more kits! Thank you for this video Tom.

If you're gonna go, go big! IPMS Nationals are the Super Bowl of model building and I think you'll be blown away. Good luck if you're entering a model or two and maybe set a buy limit before you go in since you'll be like a kid in candy store. You'll probably see Harvey there, say hello for me!

Awesome vid thanks so much for doing this. I'm in Sudbury where we have no dedicated model store here. One guy has a few models the bulk of his store is R.C.. Then Michael's and Toys r us 🤦♂️. I have to order from Toronto so I really dont get to see all his store supply. Hopefully i can get to Toronto this summer. Stay safe brother ✌🇨🇦✌

Hi James, thanks for the awesome note! We have a couple of stores local here in Winnipeg but I often shop on-line because of the expanded selection. But one local store here is pretty good so I bought my last two models there. You stay safe too and thank you for watching and commenting!

Great video, Tomas. Harvey seems like a great guy and I really like watching the IPMS Toronto channel. I have to commend Harvey on his explanation of the two primary judging types. He is the first person that has described it in a way that makes sense. Some people like one way, some like the other. Enter your model accordingly. I'm really looking forward to the next installment!

Thanks Brett. I've been modeling for quite some time but whenever I speak to guys like Harvey I realize I have so much more to learn. Thank you for the awesome comment and I think you'll also enjoy part 2 - we get into some nitty gritty judging issues that are pretty interesting! Stay well my friend!

Do they ever use both system in a show?
@stevieRay32112 жыл бұрын
Hey William, thanks for the note. Events seem to have a lot of latitude, and it's conceivable a show could use both systems. Most events likely use one or the other. If you're contemplating entering a certain show, best to contact organizers beforehand and ask how they're judging. Best rule of thumb, build the best model you can and place your faith in the model gods. GL with your projects!

123 sucks in my opinion…Too subjective and political.

As Harvey said the judging methods can be controversial and I think your comment bears that out. Open method takes too long if there are many, many models. Thanks for sounding off!
