Yes, it can be funny as hell. Did a long uncomfortable post check with one troop while his partner was in the bathroom. The thing was I knew his partner was in the bathroom with an “unauthorized guest”. I just acted like I was bored and had nothing better to do as I just kept talking to the airman, occasionally asking “You sure he’s ok” “what did you guys eat, Taco Bell?” I left without busting them out but the next night I needed volunteers to clean all the vehicles.

I once came upon a checkpoint with three people, but only two reported the post. When I asked where the third guy was, they said he was in the bathroom. I gently knocked, no answer. So this has also happened when a 1 star general made a surprise appearance. One of our guys noticed there was a 1 star heading to our unit and there was 2 NCO's at the CP and a 1SG just talking about his time when wet weathers weren't used in the rain or some shit. I got a call and the first thing I heard was "1 STAR 2 MIN" The first thing I yelled was. 1 STAR IS COMING HERE. I shit you not the privates and lower enlisted just fucken made a run for it to their quarters and some were even hiding in the fken latrines. Both of us were trying to organize the CP and set up the chairs to make it look up to standard and the 1SG was hiding all the shit in the lounge room that looked off and hid it in the garbage and some were just in the drawers. Those were the longest 2 min of my life.

@@RratRemi Generally your notified where I am that leadership is coming and you just make sure to have the gear on before they get there, otherwise yeah it would be the IEC checking IDs who notifies everyone else if your posted at gate. Either way if you had any cadre like we did they made us do gear drills throughout training making us fully gear down then gear up in under 2 minutes to include elbow pads, knee pads, vest, helmet, gloves, weapons while still maintaining positive control so not letting them touch the ground, sometimes rucks, and what ever other gear we had.

Sometimes it’s difficult to understand the military today. I was a Combat Medic in the 80/90’s in the 4th Infantry and we had no females in our Battalion during Peacetime nor in Combat. I get these videos have humor sometimes. Female Soldier outside the door doesn’t even salute the Flight Chief? All the Chiefs I knew were officers.
