I love Rutabagas and will have to try your recipe! An easy way to peel Rutabagas is to Microwave them for about 5 to 8 minutes depending on their size. Be sure to cut one of the ends so it can vent a little. This make the job so easy.

Really looks good! I am going to hunt for some today! For your green beans, I suggest trying this way once. I drain my green beans, add to pan with chopped bacon with half of drppings removed if necessary. Then simmer them with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and garlic powder. Equal parts on the sauces, sugar to taste. Essentially it is like the green bean bundles deconstructed. They are very good! I made yours the other night and enjoyed them as well!

I love these but stopped eating them because they are so hard to cut up..I discovered that you can peel them and drop them whole into boiling water and they cook just as if they were peeled. They taste better too. Not too sure why! It does take longer and what I do is when they get softer I cut them as they boil. Its much easier! Talk about a veggie that should come precut! lol. These are sooo good! My Mom was Swedish and fed them to me as a kid. Love them!
