I found your channel after Yianni plugged it a few weeks ago. I had no prior interest in the industry but as an engineer and car lover, your videos provide just the right amount of curiosity, I particularly enjoyed your ‘day in the life of’ video! I’ll never complain about the length of my working day again!! You remind me of my brother in that respect, he’s a QS and entrepreneur and has worked similar hours for years building his business... I just couldn’t be arsed with it.

Speak to an equipment finance specialist about it. All equipment is different, some are easy to sell after, some are very hard like cranes and that makes them high risk. Depreciating them all varies too and every business is different.
@lordmas20994 жыл бұрын
Daniel just thinking about the lease amount gives him stress lol
@jordanleigh64814 жыл бұрын
It's obvious buy equipment. Leasing is a scam your constantly paying for something that ain't yours. Where as of you buy. It pays for it self with the work it does and eventually makes you money.

It was very nice of them to give you some models. Most of them will send you a bill if you ask them for a model no matter how much you’ve paid for the machine. I went to collect a 17 meter tele-handler, they bought it brand new and they were a big customer of the plant dealer, when I asked them for a model they asked me if I got an order number, for a little while I thought they’re joking but then I realised they weren’t.

Phenomenal driving skills! Having an escort is a must in that situation or else you're getting stuck/ causing tail backs/ taking the side of a vehicle or some property. Driving a class 2 alone requires so much awareness and composure it's frightening. The roads in UK are horse and carriage or slightly bigger these monsters are super wide. The new passenger door window is a great addition. Very helpful. I wanna drive an auto cos the manual experience was horrendous. Killed my traps and neck.

Maybe the road rules are different in the UK but in AU we would just have had a spreader trailer spread to 4.5m and left the tracks hanging over the sides, this is similar to how we move HD605 - 60t Haul trucks which are over 4.5m wide. I'm kind of scratching my head because 60t excavators are roughly 3.5m wide, not 5m and usually, depending on the trailer only require the beacon and/or the wraparound guards on the engine access to be disassembled to transport. Other things that are different between AU and Europe is that Volvos are rare in AU heavy haulage (Mostly cab-over Kenworths), Liebherr only has market share in heavy cranes and heavy mining eq. and full custom paint jobs are extremely rare in AU heavy construction.

Nice video. Lot of moneys worth between the machine and the unit and trailer. Thought the Police might have wanted involved at 5m though? We're having to get Police escorted with a 3.3m machine round a 60 odd mile diversion up here because the A83 Rest & Be Thankful is shut after a 2nd landslide in a month. Nice that you got some models off the salesman, I've shifted a lot of new Komatsu's over the years and all I've had is a jacket, and that's with the boss buying a lot of them over the years!!
