Thank you for the informative video , just that I am still not sure if I can add the time delay to my DSC PC1616 with a analog key pad. So my question is can I follow the same programming in your video to put a time delay on my front door and door leading to my garage door ? Hi! Yes of course it is already on my plan to do it next year. But quickly explain, go in *8 menu. Section 001 Move with the right arrow to the zone of your motion detector. And input 05 (for motion detector). Happy holliday! :)

Delay canot be modify for stay and away mode. There will always be a delay on a door, but window should be instant.

@@HowToPM Apparently if you press * 9 then the master code, the system will be armed as "Stay". If you open any windows or doors that have not been bypassed, the siren will sound immediately without any delay.

if I have pressed away do I have to set the eyes as a delay or only the door I only have one entry and exit door but its far from my keypad, but 3 eyes that I pass to the door

When you press away, you have an exit delay. Diring that time the system remain unarm. You can leave passing in front of the motion detector.

It varies depending on the programing. It's been a while since last time I programed an alarm but if I well remember. It's in the installer menu *8 and it's in the section 005. First is Entry Delay 1 Second is Entry Delay 2 Third is arming delay.

Does the main door have to be zone 1 and the garage door zone 2 by default for these settings to apply. My garage door is zone 4 on my system

In programing mode (*8), you can apply every zone defenition in section 001. There is where you set what each zone is. Delay 1, delay 2, window, instant, motion, smoke etc. There is not really any default setting for that. It's the installer that program it.

I have 2 Partitions and 16 Zones with my old DSC 832. I want to expand the number of zones and upgrade it with the PC1832 main panel. I also replaced the old LED with new LCD keypads and I am adding new zones. I want to copy existing delay times for the zones using my new PK5500 keypad and to paste them when programing the new PC1832. The problem I have is that after I enter section [005] - System Times it does not ask me for the zone number but there is a 020 number on the LCD screen which represents a 20-sec delay. If I retype 020 it gives me 060 and so on. What is going on here, why the system does not ask me for the zone number? By the way, it would be good if you demonstrate programing on both Full Message and Fix Message keypads. Thank you

Hi Dan. Section 005 will let you input 3 type of delay. Delay 1 : for zone with delay 1 (01 in section 001) Delay 2 : for zone with delay 2 (02 in section 001) Exit delay : for when you want to exit. So in 005 you input the delay acordingly to the zone that are marked 01 and 02 in 001. Then you input the exit delay. I will eventually do the full programing video but only with the small keypad because I hate de LCD one. 😉

In stay mode if windows are violated, it only chimes. No siren going off. What settings do I need to fix? I do have installers code. Any suggestions!

Windows are clearly not in on the right setting. A window is a ''03''. You can set zone value in 001 of installer menu.

If I will remember the arming delay are in the section 005 of the installer menu in *8. But there is only 3 delay. 1. Delay 1 (regular door) 2. Delay 2 (garage door) 3. Arming delay ( so arm to stay and away are lock to the same time).

How do I silence the keypad beeps after arming? I don't need to hear the beeps as I leave the house, or at night as I set the alarm - I just want it armed, and then quiet... :) Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can remove it. It mark the difference between arm to stay and away. When you leave it should not disturb you to much as you leave and it indicate your delay to leave. When you arm it for the night, press the empty house instead of doing your code. It will arm to stay, and will be silent.

@@HowToPM When I arm it for the night, press the FULL house (not empty house as in your response...), right? Empty house is AWAY - which arms the motion sensors.

Oups sorry, yea you are right, the FULL house is the right one when you stay home. You should have no beep while using it.

Bonjour. Il doit y avoir un détecteur de mouvement qui vois continuellement quelque chose. Quand l'alarme sonne, elle doit indiquer un numéro de zone, il faudrait voir de laquelle il s'agit et vérifier toute l'installation de cette zone.

@@HowToPM Possible je vais regarder mais détecteurs, il faut souligner que j'ai installé 3zones et chaque zones il ya au moins 4 détecteurs monté en série, comment faire pour isoler le détecteur à problème ?

C'est le désavantage d'avoir une zone en série. Il faut procédé par élimination. Ça peut-être long. 😉

Delay is in *8 menu Then installer code Then 005 for delay First 3 digit are for delay 1 secondes 4 to 6 delay 2 7 to 9 for exit delay. Sorry there is no easy way to explain it. 😉
