The contrast between the two: one black, on white, one older, one younger, one female, one male, one short and one tall. They have had two vastly different experiences in their lives and still came together to make this song. This, too, is full of power.

Love how Hozier fell off the face of the earth for 4 years, just came back like nothing happened and snatched all our weaves😂😂😂😂
@aranyanifox4375
@aranyanifox4375 6 жыл бұрын
Does someone know where he actually was and what he was doing during these 4 years of absence? Also, is everyone referring to him as "forest god" or "woodland prince" or similar because he has some actual connection to the forests in some way, has he lived in the house in the woods for 4 years or something, or is it just because, I don't know, he has long hair and writes poetic songs that are changing the world? It does sound stupid, but these are real questions. Also, why is everyone mentioning him being of the fae, because he is Irish or is there something else, some joke of his or something? There is so much I want to know about him and so little genuine information about his life, and I am sure there are also many things to inspire us fans... I don't mean any stalking or anything, just a little bit from his life story and how he became the artist that he is today, where he derives his inspiration from and such things...

Amina Ammar hozier was an old king sacrificed ritually to the gods, and was turned into a bog in ireland. he was recently returned to us, revived by the fae people in an attempt to bring their music back to humans.

@@CommanderBacon1233 most definitely!!! Straight into the face that tried to take down a whole City down full of good people who are legitimate patience suffering terribly because of gready.. if it wasn't for Love and hope Justice who knows what else would have happened. If you know the name and put a face to the name it's a really of a multiple different types of feelings.. how reading clearly one post can change the way you put the puzzle pieces together when you thought you were losing your mind over thinking yet you were not. You have come so far in a short amount of time. @@CommanderBacon1233 personally one of my favorite lyrics he states it is a foot uncompromising that is very powerful. You have to stand your ground sometimes in life doesn't matter what anybody else says you have to stand your ground it is a foot uncompromising just like when you're watching Godsmack video and you see the way that's foot slams down playing the guitar full throttle. As well The Voice and so strong and Stern and the songs that are played yet when he speaks he speak softly Sully The same with the band Highly suspect Johnny's voice is strong and Stern when he's singing yet if you listen to him and an interview it's very soft he almost has a bit of a lisp. As well plays great guitar and slams at foot down ! and Goes with it

he's a faerie y'all. faeries can’t lie which is why hozier said “no comment” as to whether he is one of the folk, but then in another question, said “time moves differently in the fae realm” and qualified his statement with “i’m joking,” which suspiciously falls in line with the fact that the fae are notorious for being mischievous. therefore, we can make the assumption that his statement was not a lie but also not the full truth. in this essay i will

Last night, I saw Hozier (Andrew) perform 'Nina cried Power' at The Toyota Music Factory, Irving, TX. He gave a big window of stage time to talk about Mavis and all she had done during our civil rights movement and how that directly affected the N. Ireland revolution. The audience went wild for this song! What spins my mind around even more is just one month ago, I saw Mavis Staples playing on this same exact stage with Ziggy Marlee and Trombone Shorty! Hozier is a powerful, beautiful, peaceful, intense and beyond creative force for our times and I am grateful for his presence on our planet. When ever you get a chance to see him and his band live do it - Best show EVER!! 😍

3:08 That breath that Mavis takes is exactly how I feel when I listen to this song. The gratitude for all those in the past who sacrificed to make the world even just a little bit better. Thank you Mavis, thank you Hozier, thank you Nina!

Years ago I was flying from Manila to New York. The plane developed a problem and we were held over in Hawaii. I turned on the tv in my hotel room and watched Mavis scatting along with a guitarist, blew my mind. I stayed my first night in NY with a well known singer (GG) and told her about the experience. She said everyone in the industry knew Mavis was The Best.. still is. Great pairing..

Honestly he is the first one. We were in his old red truck. Our first date was a hike (which was a huge hint to how good we are gonna be lol) and he started to play this music and it was like I instantly fell for him ❤

The best song this decade easily! For when a song like this brings you to tears but lifts you up in joy. There's no song that's done that this since late 80's I'd say.
