Hey, thanks a lot for this video! I was able to reactivate an old 6700 Premium that hadn't been used for a while using your method. It solved the "There is an error with the printhead" issue after I inserted the toner. Definitely better than buying a new printhead from HP, which costs more than a new printer. Thanks, HP, for nothing and your misleading troubleshooting guides.

I'm in love! Two different computer guys told me my printer could not be fixed and to just buy a new one...I did not believe them and I kept on praying about it. I have the exact same printer. I went to Frys Electronics today and got 2 refills of Cyan and now my printer says "One or more cartridges are missing or damaged". Both refills are showing up as missing. The Magenta Yellow and Black were all full before I installed the new refills, but now those 3 are showing that they're low on ink.

Cleaning kit appears to come with only 3+ ounces of fluid. On your video, you used all 3 oz on one nozzle/ color. If I need more can I order just the fluid (can use original syringe) ? How much /oz thank you, great video, Jim

My HP6700 Premium shown errors message about colours cartridge, it was not printing colours magenta and ciano anymore..I tried the automatic cleaning of printheads several times, full reset of the printer, change the printing options from PC..no way...I was very close to buy a new printer than I saw this video, I bought the cleaning kit in Amazon , I did it twice with 1 night between the 2 cleaning and its work back again as new.Thanks a lot!

I have the HP 6700 just like the video, it was inspiring. I bought the kit you said. You failed to tell me I could explode the magenta cap because it is made of a thin surran wrap looking covering on top. Do you have any suggestions on fixing the magenta that exploded?

Sorry to hear about that, this method should only be tried if your printer has no functional use unless you fix it. Please refer to the disclaimer on the product description page. At this point you should probably purchase a new printhead.

You need to leave it off for 24hours before trying to power on again.
