When I did my above ground pool it suggests to put tape I went with white duct tape to match. Al could use silver color. And it lasted 9 years. when I finally took the pool down because no one was using it. I couldn't believe that the tape held up that long. But not sure if Al would like the tape. He did like the sticker. LOL 😁 just teasing you Al. It's coming along great you sure made me nervous up on that ladder when it was on the truck. Great job , can't wait to see the rest.

The new camera is great! Much more clarity! MORE SNOW?!?!!! I feel for you folks. I’m so disappointed that it’s snowing for your sakes. But God bless Gina for getting out there and helping you, what a sweetheart❣️ I would not be out there 😱 I like your screwdriver trick. Clever. Bless your neighbor friend for helping, those would be so cold and heavy. Clever how you used the clamps too. When I do a project in the winter, my hands are freezing, everything moves on me, then I drop the nut! 😤 You are a go getter. Great job!

This is one of my favorite channels. I can't stop watching. I'm rather new to it and am hooked. Just good old clean living and love all the family time and praying and being thankful for the food. This is so relaxing. Except for climbing that tall ladder in the back of a very slick truck bed. LOL I work at a chemical plant and ladder safety is one of our main topics. Love all the content, morning rituals feeding the animals. Seeing the goats jump and leap just brings a smile every time. Can't wait to see how your green house works out. great job so far.

NE Texas has moved from snow storms to tornadoes. We had humdinger storms last night with golf ball hail. While hunkering down in the laundry room (safest room in the house) all I could think about was the garden was being shredded by hail. My next thought was how grateful I was to not be out in the deluge. This morning: garden will survive. God is good!

Great vid with the new camera, and the drone shots were just fabulous. Held my breath a few times you being on top of that ladder in the bed of the truck, those ladders get very slippery in the cold, then throw in gusts of wind. Green house is coming along very quickly and you will be feeding an army in no time. Rest up and thanks for taking us along.

Dear Al, You guys have become my breakfast companions and I have enjoyed your journey. Having watched you over the years, I know I could teach you a thing or two as I’m old enough to be your Dad - maybe your grand Dad. As I watch, you have taught me quite a few things. Today, up on that ladder with blowing snow sucking the heat off of your body, I realized you were a better man than me. Continue on doing what you are Doing and I’ll learn some more.

It's just great to see you guys putting up your green house. I don't know if you ever watch Garden Answers you tube channel. She has a hoop house like yours and it's beautiful. They put a shingle front on and barn style doors. She also put a shade cloth over the top and she says it lasts longer as she has very hot summers over 100 degrees. I hope this idea will help with your beautiful farm designs. Best wishes with all you do.

Al, I like that structure! Suggest wrap all external facing bolt heads in insulation tape. Will stop chafing. I taped all the bolt joints on mine to keep the bugs and the elements out. Like I said before, I also sunk fence posts inside at the corners and midway and then attached the uprights to them. You look pretty sturdy, though. What a superb microclimate you are creating. Well done!! Regards Stephen.

The weather is crazy right along with this time in history! Glad you guys had help with getting them trusses up for the greenhouse. No laughing on this end Al, just a little nervousness for you and wishing you could have put it up in two piece, but it looked heavy and awkward to handle in the longer sections. Then you made me even more nervous with the ladder in the truck bed! lol But you did good as I knew you would, but still nerve wracking. But the green house is really taking shape, but would have been easier in better weather for you,. 17 eggs, nice!!!

For trapped birds inside, I have a Feather Duster on a long handle, they will grab it and hide inside it, Then you can bring them outside. It's Ostrich feathers. When we had our roof worked on a bird somehow got into the house from a hole that USED to be some kind of vent from where the kitchen used to be. The kitchen had been moved downstairs, so the bird ended up in the closet of the master bedroom, and then into the bathroom where there was lot of light, but no window that could be opened like yours. It took some doing to get it outside again.

To make it stronger add some metal electrical pipes show that you can add solar lights later for late evening gardening.

Brrrrrr...! I can relate. Back in the mid 2000's I worked with a residential framing crew on a December day to install hardie board siding on a two story house just north of Lynchburg TN at 17 deg F, in 20 mph winds and light sleet. For the whole day, we could only work for 20-30 minutes, then hop in the work van to warm up before getting out to work another 20-30 minutes.

I grew up in Minnesota, as for it being difficult in the cold, my mom always said the cold was good, it kept riff-raff out!

Wow that greenhouse is big enough to hold a concert in. I thought also that the ridge pole would have gone inside but I have not read the instructions.

I do not know how y'all can work outdoors in those conditions! Burr! Please take care of yourselves and stay well! I think we all got excited when we had those nice days and the geese flew over...but winter was not ready to give up yet. God bless all of you.

Your greenhouse is a LOT bigger than I thought it was! In the winter, when not growing, you can put the chickens in it! LOL! Please be super careful on the ladders...they make me nervous. Like when it's snowing and there's a wind...and you are using your truck bed, too! Take care and be safe. Thank you for sharing your journey and God bless.

Something I learned from a fireman - always have your hands on the side rails of the ladder - hold on by sliding your hand up or down. Your hands are always in contact with the ladder. When you go from rung to rung you don't have control. It takes some practice but you will feel much more comfortable once you master it.

He is hardly likely to be putting chickens in that monstrous greenhouse in the winter.. That is why they bought that monstrous thing. SO THAT CAN GROW "STUFF" IN THE WINTER ! so why turn a whole lot of chickens loose in there to eat up all their work ?????

The picture looks very clear I think better than the last one. On the outside bolts you could smear some silicone like caulking to smooth it more.

Labels! My dad used to leave the labels and such on new TVs, VCRs, modems, toaster ovens, etc. It drove me crazy.
