Do your self a favor, replace the wing nuts with a regular nut. You can use a box wrench to tighten them easier. I did it on my bubble and flaring tools that are just like yours. Just a tip to help make the job easier. Thanks for the videos, I like to watch your progress. Im doing a duramax swap in mine so i feel your pain brother!

Couldn't you have flipped that dominator ecu around so that the plugs were facing toward the firewall instead of the filter housing? It would also allow you to route the wiring along the cowl like the factory wiring is set up for the glow plugs.
@LSXHumvee5 жыл бұрын
I could but water runs from the hood down the cowl so essentially I would be creating cups for the water to fall in, this setup the plugs are on a downward slant so if water does make it them it runs off and not in.

I've got a 1999 Hummer H1 (6.5 TD + 4l80E) I want to LS swap it, but I have a couple of questions. - Could I use the original engine mounts, or some modification is needed? - What is the best way to pull the diesel engine out? - What is the best engine to use for such a conversion (5.3 or 6.0), taking into consideration that I don't want to raise the vehicle? Any help is highly appreciated. Keep up the great work!

That gold thing on the throttle cable is called a "knarp", and Odyssey bmx sells them in pairs, so you don't have to buy a whole throttle cable just for that piece.

I know this is not the engine swap episodes but did they have to lift the body off in order to put LS in? I want to do same.
@LSXHumvee5 жыл бұрын
Nope it slips right in once the cooling stack is out of the way.

Been waiting to see an update! Lol So are you planning on doing a complete 12v conversion just to simplify your electrical system in the future?
@LSXHumvee5 жыл бұрын
I really like 24v for the Humvee specific items and my winches, i'll keep 12v for the motor but 24v for everything else.
