Hey, I made the bow a week ago and i really liked shooting it but now after maybe 100-120 shots one of the bowlimbs startet to „crack/split“ a little bit at the handle connection. Can I repair this? Maybe with little bit of fiberglass and epoxy or ist it going to stiffen it too much ?

@@sioux3639 Yes, you can repair it with fiberglass and epoxy, and later wrap that portion with thin twine and super glue or epoxy over that wrap. Problem with this is that fiberglass strips are parallel al the way with no taper and most of the pressure is near the handle, you can take your time and taper it little bit toward tips, that would distribute pressure better. If you have any question feel free to ask

Super glue is not a good glue to use on Bose because when you're out hunting and it turns below zero the glue gets brittle and it lets loose whatever is hanging on to it's not good can you get all the manufacturers and find out what's the temperature rating of that glue that you go to use epoxy would be a lot better better

Yes, super glue is not great for low temperatures, but in this case the cord wrapping do most of the job, i have already tested a similar bow in sub zero temperatures and it holds pretty well. I prefer to use epoxy in most of the cases, but i want this bow to be as simple as possible, thanks for commenting! 😀

@sioux3639 Im glad you order it already! You can make it without siyahs, but it will be little lower in draw weight, im guessing around 45-50 pounds instead of 55… Feel free to ask anything 😀
