The way that Hybe handled TXT’s world tour is also ridiculous. Like, logically, it really makes no sense why they gave them such small venues and overall just didn’t bother to give them a large scale tour that could’ve given hybe more money and txt more attention.
@RM-of2oz

Because they had already brought the venues. If u knew anything, TXT was suppose to tour in 2020 and at the time they still weren’t exceptionally big especially not big enough to have stadium and arena tours. They used up the venues they had already brought. It’s not really a bad move

I wouldn't call it ridiculous. Sure we wished they had bigger venues so getting a ticket wouldn't of been so difficult and expensive but after I went I was actually happy the venue was small. It made the concert feel more intimate. Especially when they were able to run around and wave at us. That definitely wouldn't of been possible if they were performing at a stadium unless they did something like BTS or Billie Eilish by going on a platform that swung them around the stadium.

People talk about it as is pledis fault or the members decision, but please explain to me WHY would they spend tons of money on the anniversary promotion and then disband their own group???? And Ren talked about the disbandment in Aron’s podcast and said the decision wasn’t theirs. You can talk shit all you want about pledis but they work under hybe. @@soft4taeng nu'est members have said that they didn't know what to do after disbandment because they didn't think about promoting alone, it's suspected that they were going to renew contracts (ex. baekho and minhyun did it) but finally, they weren't given the chance to do it as a group. the meaning of their song "again" was changed after the disbanding news, at first the whole album was marketed as a present to the fans for their 10th years anniversary because then, they would have a proper comeback. sadly, none of this things happened and all thr publicity and banners that were prepared had to change. jonghyeon (jr, nuest leader) have recently talked about the disbandment again, they're still in touch and the 5 members are usually in their fanmeetings and solo concerts. it' just so clear that they didn't want to take parts.

I liked bighit when they were only managing bts, now it became a farm of money and people are just willing to buy anything from them. At this point I feel like they do whatever they want in concept since they are sure people will buy their shit. They've been growing unhealthy die-hard fanbases that are willing to do anything for their group. If you say anywhere that one of their group has bad music you're sure to get a flood of hate from the fans, I've been leaving some comments about how bts music became bad and people attack me for that despite leaving constructive criticism on why. For Gfriends and NU'EST it's definetly the company decision to disband as they probably saw them as 'old group that don't make that much money anymore' they gave them both 1 comeback and seeing how they didn't do as well as their other groups they disbanded them. Some people need to realize that hybe is a company just there for profit, especially since BangPD retired from his CEO position.

The list goes on: - overworking their staff and artists especially BTS - selling us overpriced merch and albums especially to army and carats (flippin’ 130$ for a PJ and y’all seemed to have only a problem with it for a week) - the way they handling SVT in general is giving sus.! - selling damn NFT’s - chart manipulations, well this one is under investigations but it stinks even continents away - literally buying every small company underneath the sun, many labels have subs but most of them are self created. Kpop is an oligopoly, but HYBEs somewhat ruthless strategy to get to the top, stay there and turning everything into their favor is concerning and I feel like not enough people care about it. HYBE is trying to building a monopoly and no one is saying anything. They literally tried to buy SM and HYBE disciples are still defending - the misogyny that runs in this company, even when it comes to staff but especially when it comes to their girl groups. - whatever is going on with the BTS military situation, it sus that government officials are visiting their company. Not them trynna bend the laws yet again. The list is even longer, but it’s making me angry already. I’ll stop it’s Sunday so I might pray for the HYBE higher up to get some of their humanity back.

@HopeeInk
@HopeeInk 2 жыл бұрын
@A well there is always the claims of chart manipulation when it comes to BTS, but personally I don’t believe in that nowadays. BTS is just that popular, period. They the most followed kpop artist on any given platform and ARMY are hugh so this one doesn’t make much sense for me. They grow seemed also reasonable at least to me, but all that it’s not the case for HYBE’s new girl group Le Sserafim. They won Music Bank a couple of months ago, in the middle of the Garam situation (also something to add on that list) and against a strong musician with a big fanbase and casual listener base in Korea, we’re talking about the biggest Trot and Ballad singer in the country right know. This would raise an eyebrow on its own, but the fact that Lim Youngwoong got 0 broadcast points didn’t made sense to people. KBS explained it with the fact that his song didn’t get any radio play at all on their channels. Knetz floated the internet to deny this claims and even dispatch made an article detailing where and how often the song got played on KBS stations, making that argument invalid. With that all unfolding the police started investigating and came back with a guilty verdict. Proving that KBS producers indeed manipulated those points (people assume that HYBE bribed them, because why else would they let these girl win). Allegedly it was all a scheme to deflect from the fact that their group was tanking due to the Kim Garam situation and people actively boycotting the debut domestic and even internationally. Notable is that the song reverse climbed the charts and is doing quite well for being released that long ago.
@HopeeInk
@HopeeInk 2 жыл бұрын
@A well this one explaining would take actually a little bit longer. In 2012 Big Hit debuted the girl group GLAM. And to say they tanked would be an understatement. They basically fall apart after a member left for the group for “personal reason” right after debut. The thing is that it’s widely believed that she was kicked out for being a sasaeng to artists like SHINee’s Onew but mainly SuJu’s Leeteuk. These claims were never proven and it’s actually notable that she still is close friends with many top idols like Nayeon or Jisoo (they besties). This wasn’t the end of the group that came in 2014 when one of the members blackmailed together with a friend a big actor at that time. He behaved inappropriately towards that friends despite being married. They recorded all those incidences and threaten to release them if he doesn’t pay. To cut it short he confessed to the police, they tried to flee the country and got caught and sentenced to 2 years of probation. The group was disbanded on the day of the sentencing. Now I’m telling you this story, because HYBE’s response to that was to never ever let a female enter that building lol. I’m exaggerating, but seriously they transferred all their female trainees to source and held only boy audiences for nearly 10 years. And I’m sure they only started to change since the girl group market is dominating right now. And those groups are also run by their subs not Big Hit same. This move alone screams misogyny, since their response to some girls doing the most was to demonize females as a whole and to cut them off just like this. Also there are stories of female employees being mistreated during working there, they were forced to work in a hostile environment and were belittled constantly, allegedly. Those claims vanished from the internet, but they were there! I mainly talking about big hit, so them before the merge and their conquest tour.

One thing that really put me off Bighit is when BTS were called out by a Rabbi for posing on a Holocaust memorial, Namjoon wearing a Nazi hat, BTS using Nazi-esk flags at a concert and Jimin's atomic bomb t-shirt and Bighit apologised for everything *BUT THE HOLOCAUST PHOTOSHOOT!* That's probably the worst thing any K-pop group has done and they just ignored it! (This was in 2017) Then when BTS' disrespected the dead *again* with Yoongi using a Jim Jones clip they lied about Yoongi not being the producer and not knowing what the clip was but in their film/docu thing there's literally a clip of Yoongi adding that part in and he is the producer, Dispatch also came out and priced they knew what the clip was but they lied again! (They also said he was "flustered" not sorry...) They're terrible with apologising for things I mean BTS have a whole rap sheet of racism, colourism, CA, etc, Enhypen has the whole fatshaming thing, the the whole thing with Garam, and the way they handled the GLAM situation, they can't handle any of these situations right and just end up making things worse The minor thing happened with Jungkook too, I remember debut 15yr old JK lifting his shirt up and hip thrusting the camera not to mention War of Hormones which happened when JK was maybe 17? As a new Engene (literally for about a month), it did cross my mind how Hybe gave them generic concepts (except for Dark Blood). And even if I just started liking the band, I can objectively look at their discography and sometimes think they are being modeled after BTS sometimes with their sound. I love BTS but I would hate for the label to not give the ENHA boys a chance to shine distinctly on their own. The BITE ME concept did so well because they took risks there but again stumped at the K-netizens’ plea for changing choreo and all. But again the whole vampiric theme is great! On the other side, &Team is under Hybe Japan with 4/9 members came from Iland like the rest of ENHA. But you can see the lack of promotion in platforms where they could be bigger. Instead, HYBE keeps debuting NEWER girl and boy groups without helping the established ones gain more traction. And yes, like TxT, Enhypen, &Team to name a few. Clearly, they’ve become more greedy and understandably so, but all cases in point in this video are indeed factual. It’s sad for the boys/girls whose music we each enjoy. I’m not subscribed to Hybe, just the groups. I watch their Official MVs though and stream their music on Spotify. I engage on their Tiktok and IG too since those are the only socmed i have.

Nowadays, most of the commercial companies left Russia, to not pay taxes and not support the war, because this country need money every day to supply their army and kill innocent people. I don't think HYBE 'owns' these sub-labels, they just provide them a platform in the form of a collaboration. Sure they likely have investments and stock, so they profit from every single thing put out, whether it's Source or ADOR, etc. But in the end the sub-labels are their own respective companies with their own rules and system. Sure BigHit (the source mother company) might have some imput, but I doubt they have the entire last say in a lot of things. They're more collabs than a boss with employees like you describe.

People also don't understand that all companies under hybe work independently. Hybe corporations is the business section of the company it has no relation to the artists it deals with the companies. The other branches of the company are hybe labels, solutions and platforms. Hybe labels is were all the music companies. Solutions is were all the technology companies. And platforms is were vlive ,weavers and the weaver's store. Hybe is not involved with the daily operation of any of the companies. Hybe only makes money base on the % ownership and contracts agreement with each company.

So. You think HYBE should debut one group..... what .... per year? So if they have 20 groups, one of them will have to wait 20 years to comeback? What make you think TXT is going to be overshadowed less if they debut a year later? Or a month later? INSTEAD of being able to ride the wave of people who are checking out HYBE LABELS channel? That was how I ended up enjoying SEVENTEEN. I agree with the abrupt changes in "concept" with TXT and Enhypen. Especially for ENHYPEN. As if someone in charge of artistic directions had been replaced, or ordered to change. Something weird is happening there. Garam? HYBE is not a court of law? How is it their responsibility whether she is guilty or not? They stood up by her side as a company and that is the ETHICALLY thing to do! You would rather artists are thrown under the bus no matter what as soon as accusations are surfacing? Letting her go is also the right BUSINESS DECISION. REGARDLESS of her innocence or guilt. Because that is irrelevant. The issue has become bigger than the group.

Since when do we need to stan the company to be a fan of a group!! since when do you need to buy their albums or subscribe to their company youtube page to be called a fan?! This is ridiculous!!! A fan supports their idols in the healthiest way they can, there is no rules or steps to become a fan! And also what annoys me about Hybe fans is that whennever this company to thigs to a certain group, just like you said JHope deserved a physical album, instead of organizing something, like stop buying merch for a period of time, in order for the company to see that we are not happy (because the only thing they see is obviously money), no they come to the internet/ social media and just talk about the subject, and do nothing!! do you know why? Because it will affcet the popularity or whatever of that group/soilist!! The only thing that we as fans have to show the companies that we are not happy is our wallet!!! will it affect the group? yess, but its only temporarily!! Sorry for the long message but this toppics are annoying!!!

Company stans are weirddddd fr, listen you can be a fan of multiple groups under one company and that’s totally fine, but constantly defending a company with all that you’ve got is so weird, like get a life these companies only care about money - debuting minors and constantly giving them slightly suggestive concepts is straight up disgusting and they’ve done it multiple times now - disbanding Nu’est just days before their 10th anniversary while they had a bunch of stuff lined up so said anniversary, even the members said that they didn’t even have a chance to say something….so shady - disbanding Gfriend when they had just reached their biggest peak yet - countless amount of cultural appropriation ( which is sadly common in all of Kpop) -actively supporting Russia…I mean we all know why that’s not okay - I despise need SVT to get out of their claws, the only reason they haven’t gotten to them is bc Woozi and Bumzu make their music themselves

I also would like to add a few things ,such as the protection of the idols in public we know how Enhypen and TXT were mobbed by SO CALLED FANS; the world tour should have been an WORLD TOUR rather than an AMERICAN TOUR , I personally don't mind the small space capacity as it was TXT'S first time but also moas aren't that active when it comes to streaming mvs, watching interviews, shows like TO DO and more. This just puts HYBE at a confused state to estimate the number of MOAs who will be attending the concert . I really dislike the Garam situation. There are alot of things that we do as children that we may regret later on. If she was a bully in her past, then that's that . But if she is a changed person now and the members didn't have any problem with her than why does the people of the internet, plus there is this whole cloud of unanswered questions. The promotion of Solo artists is another one. There is this artist called Lee something who is under Big Hit I really question about his activity as an idol cause there is so little that HYBE has done. Plus Zico, the entire K-industry's fastest rapper. He is under his own entertainment which is under HYBE. But the question is , how much can he do all by himself?!! I do understand soloist will always be less popular cause people literally live for interactions. Smuts, shipping of members of one particular group (example-Taekook) are also forms of promoting idols that fans do. I in no means support these acts of the fans but it would be a lie at the very least to say this doesn't increase popularity of idols among the fans who enjoy those stuff. When there is no members the fans have nothing much to do . All the 'XYZ being done with the membres', ''Try not to laugh ,,My favourite XYZ interactions','XYZ's problems/habits' also come from contents released from activities just as TO DO, RUN . This is also something fans find harder to do cause it kinda doesn't exist for soloist. And stuff like vlogs at the time of promotion is also less cause of there being only one member. But this doesn't mean you can't try or do things to promote soloists...

In my opinion HYPE handled the Garam situation better than most companies would’ve. They defended Garam right away still let her debut and when she was still getting hated on they put out information proving her innocence and stood their ground. They then put her on hiatus bc she was indeed being affected by the hate giving that she was only 16 years old and then after a while they ended up kicking her out of the group seeing how everyone was still hating and was liking lesserafim as 5. So they kicked her out bc of her mental health seeing that no matter what they did she was still going to be hated, the only ones that we can blame for the way the Garam situation ended are the “fans”

If the victim will ever want to be someone public - let the public then decide whether or not to "cancel" her. As for right now, she isnt a public person neither she wants to be one as she did nothing to achieve that. So yeah, thats the case. Absolutely truth. HYBE and it's subsidiaries are like JYPE and it's divisions. Of course they will have a general overview of what their subsidiaries are doing. That's how companies work. And it's a company so their endgame is profit. They'll throw their artists under the bus if the bottom line is threatened. Look at the Kim Garam situation...Although these last few days I'm getting more convinced that she was allowed to debut because it brought a lot of attention to the group (even if negative) Now they kicked her out and did 'the right thing', they can just go on.

Also, I'm solely referring to their treatment of Ateez, Maddox and Xikers. We don't talk about Block B because that's a whole different topic. What I do think is fair to say is amongst all the companies I have read and researched about, KQ is the best of the bunch in terms of management and how the idols are treated. They have their faults like everyone else and at the end of the day it's about the money but I will never forget Eden, the head of their production team Eden-ary, saying that he doesn't want Xikers to cover a song from Monsta X because the boys are still too young for the concept, in comparison to Hybe and it's sub-labels. Garam is innocent of bullying and violence according to the official school disciplinary report; therefore, she should have stayed in Le Sserafim. Garam defended a friend verbally who pleaded for help when Eunsoo took hidden photos of Garam's friend in her underwear and hacked a facebook account to post them online under another name to incriminate an innocent student. Eunsoo's rich father used his influence to push through a disciplinary committee that was biased against Garam. Yet, the level 5 offense that Garam received for defending her friend with a cuss word or two carried 0 severity points for violence and was the most common one given at her school, while Eunsoo's very rare level 8 offense carried 16-20 points in severity of violence which was beyond suspension. Yet, the rich father used his influence to get Eunsoo to transfer schools before the punishment could be implemented and jealous Eunsoo bullied Garam at the new school by getting boys in online chat rooms to threaten violence against her and keep inviting her so she couldn't leave the chats. Garam also had insults and obscenities written on her desk at school. Eunsoo's intense jealousy of Garam debuting in her favorite kpop company was one of the primary driving forces for the lies and corruption to drive Garam out, but another pivotal reason the powers in kpop and South Korea were so rabid in going after Garam is that she stood up to the rich elite's perverted "right" to post child porn online, use blackmail to control girls' lives, and incriminate others by stealing their identity to post it so they don't get caught. In their demented minds, this is what they call a perpetrator of crimes. As a result, Eunsoo's rich father purchased a dirty law firm to file a fraudulent lawsuit with the ulterior motive of destroying Garam's career since it coincided with Garam's debut in Le Sserafim and had nothing to do with the stated intent which was accusing Garam of bullying, since the school incident happened four years before and was caused by the violent actions of sexual harassment and theft of a facebook account by Eunsoo. According to the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), Garam was by far the hardest hit target by Kakao Organization affiliated with Starship with 336 slanderous articles written to destroy her reputation. Kakao is currently under investigation by the FTC for reverse viral marketing. Kakao falsely claimed that Garam was an ex Starship trainee who was removed for bullying other members which was a lie. Furthermore, Kakao is responsible for the slanderous picture and article claiming that Garam had written down with Ive and other famous kpop groups on a blackboard, even though Garam is not seen in the picture and even though she hadn't attended that school since 2018 which was long before the group IVE even formed. Finally, they are responsible for lies about Garam bullying other Le Sserafim members. it is obvious that there was a coordinated conspiracy to cancel Garam, especially with the fake evidence and fabricated photos spread all over the internet by the fake victim, Eunsoo, her rich father's purchase of a dirty law firm to file a fraudulent lawsuit with the ulterior motive of destroying Garam's career, and Kakao's viral flooding of the internet with negative and slanderous articles against Garam who was innocent of the false allegations. While Hybe appeared to defend Garam in a superficial sense by putting out an official statement that recounted Garam's version of the story, it was done in an impersonal way with statements like According to Garam. Furthermore, it was issued too late, since it also announced that she was being placed on hiatus. However, the real incompetence and undermining by Hybe came from their refusal to let Garam make the public statement she requested in mid-April and their refusal to let her release the official school disciplinary report which she also had available in mid-April. Even worse, Hybe's complete betrayed of Garam came when they refused to release this critical information even after Eunsoo's side released a cropped and marked on part of the school disciplinary document which only indicated Garam's offense. Furthermore, they didn't release the testimonies of the many students that supported Garam's innocence. Hybe also never filed lawsuits for libel or slander against all the false information and incriminating faked photos posted by the fake victim (real bully) or against the death or sexual assault threats that were posted online which badly damaged Garam's reputation and traumatized her psychologically, especially since she rarely left her dorm room during the time of her hiatus because of anxiety and depression. This downcast condition and isolation persisted for an extended period even after Garam left Hybe and went home. This cyber witch hunt fueled with malicious lies didn't give Garam's side of the story which would have been based, if it had been allowed to take place, on official school evidence, direct testimony and the emotional resonance of Garam's personal appeal. The effect was to create great hype at the moment of debut but to destroy the mental health of Garam who was falsely accused and served as the scapegoat for the group. There is even a haunting scene in an ad in which Garam falls really hard on a car which suggests that she is Hybe's fallen sixth angel, since Le Sseragim means six angels. Then after a long hiatus and a period of silence, Hybe dumped Garam with no attempt made to clear her name, even though they had all the evidence to do so and even though they had used the excuse of an upcoming trial against Eunsoo as the reason not to reveal the evidence to exonerate Garam. The defender against sexual exploitation, Garam, was severely punished and Eunsoo, the sexual offender of Garam's friend and facebook hacker was rewarded. Therefore after Garam's unjust cancellation and while sunk in the depths of depression, it was left up to Garam with the help of her faithful friend Yudimi to muster up the strength to clear her name by releasing the official school disciplinary report and Garam's explanatory statement in August, in which Garam refuted many of the falsehoods by saying she never drank or smoked, never bullied or ordered anyone around, never transferred schools and never used violence. She also had the honesty to admit that she would have handled the defense of her friend a bit differently now that she had the perspective of more maturity but was adamant that in principle she had done the right thing because her parents had taught her the importance of defending a friend in a time of adversity. But honestly, Garam's actions seem really honorable and reasonable considering the severity of the offense: yelling and saying a couple of cuss words at Eunsoo for posting half nude photos of her friend as a profile pic online and hacking a facebook account to incriminate another student. Better yet, I thought of Garam's actions as a wise lesson posed as a question: If every member of a group and its fandom had the guts to defend a targeted member the way Garam defended her friend against a powerful and perverted enemy like Eunsoo, wouldn't all these unjust bullying cancellations like of Jimin, Soojin and Garam come to an end? In Garam's closing address in her letter, she thanked her fans with a harbinger of hope, GaramDream. And the strength of Garam's and Yudimi's efforts freed from Hybe's draconian restrictions turned the tide of public opinion in Garam's favor. Presently, there are some hopeful signs such as Garam giving thanks to her fans on her birthday for her video banner in Seoul on November 16, and 6 days later the first beautiful photos of Garam in her yellow school uniform appeared on twitter. My hope is that if Garam wishes to return to music that she will go into jpop in Japan, as I think it would be safer and give her far more freedom of expression and action. Garam is also quite popular there, comments are more positive for her there than in South Korea, there are far fewer risks, and Japanese songs are longer with storylines that include acting in the videos, which is a great fit since she is currently studying acting at the School of Performing Arts. Plus, the big money influences and propaganda and cancellation campaigns waged against her in kpop will have far less influence in Japan and she will have better protection in Japan from the depravity of lies, misogyny, jealousy and hypocrisy. However, I will support her in whatever she decides to do especially if it is kpop or kdrama because she will need a lot more protection then. Garam is one of my very favorites because of her great beauty and charisma on stage and her fabulous singing, dancing, and her strong integrity of character at such a young age. Her soothing sweet vocals with a touch of sassiness in Blue Flame and Sour Grapes are like a delightful dream and her beautiful ferocity in Fearless is captivating. Her heartbreaking story and efforts to rise again from great persecution are a true inspiration and remind me of an epic movie, so it is certainly no coincidence that she is studying to be an actress. I just wish her the best of success, happiness with love and trust from family and friends, and warmth and understanding from all over the world.

I'm not sure about the laws in Korea, but in America if a company is very large and buys up their smaller competitors, they would need to be very careful about communication among subsidiaries (like coordinating when different albums will be dropped) in order to avoid being sued for antitrust violations. Two things I'll add. Outside of BTS & Seventeen, I've seen a fair number of lives where it seems like Hybe group members were concerned about their words in a way that seems as though they feel they're being scrutinized by their staff (I hope that's not the case). During I-land, I thought the producers/coaches gave criticism in ways that sometimes seemed punitive rather than constructive. With their newer boy groups (I'm not as familiar with their girl groups), I don't feel like they're doing a great job differentiating the music styles between groups. It's great to experiment, but when the groups feel like they don't have a sound of their own, it can feel like they're churning out songs and giving them to the next available group instead of crafting something fitted to the group.

The fans sexualized Niki beacuse they choose to that has nothing to do with the concept and the compnay. It has everything to do with what the perverted fans wanted to see as they still sexualize him till this day and its not only when hes dancing to fever. On the other hand Lesserafim's choreographer should of known better with that dance move since it is still provocative and Eunchae and Garam were and still are underage. And yes I know they didnt perform it on stage, but it was still shown in the mv which is still unacceptable so I agree with the Lesserafim's situation because the company had a choice to remove that part of the mv before it was released and make them do something else but they didnt.
