Hydraulic Brake Conversion on the Mini Bike

We're finally coming back at you guys with some more minibike videos! There's been a few other things going on at the shop lately and we were waiting on a few items to come in. The hydraulic brake and GoPro did eventually come in so we should be able to provide a lot better videos now. The brake from www.hotrodminibike.com to me is the best mini bike mod for the price. Once you get some more power with a built predator or Honda clone you definitely need to start thinking about stopping quicker too lol.

I wanna see you guys do a build on a 212 hemi with a bigger cam like a 310cam with long rod and bigger valves. Haven't seen any builds on KZbin with bigger cams

Can I just swap to different rear rims for the disc brakes? Mines drum...that means I'll need to fab a bracket also then huh

+ill state I honestly don't know a whole lot about tuning these carbs, I'd kinda be lying if I pretended to in a video lol. I got it from nrracing.com and it's a 22mm mikuni. They come in a kit with a filter, intake for gx200 and a few extra jets too.

+ill state I'm not familiar with the carb they have on their site but in any case I'd try a genuine mikuni or walbro so if you need parts in the future you'll be able to service it.

This is the nature of fabrication. If hex nuts actually thread on bolts without modification you are lucky.

Stock engine at the moment. Got it for me and my kids to ride. Got the engine running as good as it can for a 2.8 hp. No governer

+Cameron Clark Only time will tell how reliable they are but the quality and stopping power is so much better than the stock brakes. On Scott's bike with the tire he has it locks it right up without much effort.

+Brandon Frantz mike and scott both got the gtc and its way expensive and doesnt work well. If we were to buy another one we would just get one of the cheap chinese import ones but just keep in mind you will probably have to make mounts and raise the engine off the frame a bit.
