Video about Hong Kong's southern outskirts ➡️ • I Can't Believe THIS I...
Snake soup is known as a very traditional meal in Hong Kong. Many people here believe that it has health benefits to eat snake and snake soup. I never ate snake before, so when I heard about this I was immediately keen to try! There are not many restaurants left in Hong Kong that are selling snake to eat though. But I found one! Let's try snake here in Hong Kong. Definitely one of the most unique Hong Kong Food you can get.

I like your style Ken! Very exploring character. Snake soup is common in HK and even kids like it Good for health and try it once a while is perfect! Not sure if you're still in HK or already left? You should also try the Australian Dairy shop famous for set HK style tea set, very local and delicious indeed if you don't mind must-share table style with busy in and out customers :)

I really enjoyed travelling in HK. Exploring the back streets and alley ways, finding old family run restaurants. Conversing with friendly elderly people was the best part, I could tell they really appreciated that I was interested in learning about their lives and culture. It was so sweet and cute.

Hey Ken, just wanted to say you are definitely the best travel KZbinr ever. I love everything about your vlogs. I really love your style of video and how you talk us through everything, lots of long, uncut clips makes it easy to watch - and makes it feel like I’m right here with you experiencing it. You are really open minded and respectful. You are unlike most KZbinrs and you are always willing to try new things - like the snake soup and wine! You are also really kind and respectful to everyone, especially with the locals with being always polite and learning the local language. I really appreciate your videos, and I will continue to enjoy your videos. Thank you Ken🙏

"If it looks like chicken, it'll taste like chicken". That's what my grandpa used to tell me. He is 100% right. I remember going to a snake place like this in HK as a child. I do have to say it does taste like chicken. It reminds me of another famous local soup called "Woon Jai Chi" (Imitation Shark Fin soup). It uses vermicelli instead of real shark fin. You also add vinegar to it and it tastes like snake soup. So glad you got to try this, Ken. I'll definitely want to eat it again as an adult next time I'm visiting HK.

Hello Ken - very nice for you to try snake! Here in the U.S. there are several places in the Western States to have rattlesnake. I have had rattlesnake 3 times in my past, the first two times was when I was a teenager, the third time when was about 36 - and it was at a popular restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona.

Guten Morgan Ken! Thanks for the videos...I'm sure not even many locals especially young people here have tried the snake soup, not to say snake wine! Thanks for your curiosity, i didn't know that real snakes are resting in those wooden boxes! - i thought they are empty and for pure deco! So happy to see that the shop owner was so generous to you with decent, good services too. Hope you enjoy your trips in HK so far...it is a modern city outside but there're a lot to explore different city walks/green areas in different districts inside. People here are very happy to help and easy to chat with. In case you haven't tried tram tours in the Hong Kong Island, this is one of the must do things...the route take you to discover more old HK. You may find it in many HK movies too. CiaoCiao.

Hi Ken, Welcome to HK. It's great that you've tasted the snake soup and wine. I've been tried to taste the gallbladder of snake mixed with white wine. My father said that it's good for health and can make our body warmer in winter. Mostly Chinese eat snkes in winter, because the snakes are more tasty in winter during their hiberation period.
