So after watching the series, in order to at least ease the pain this show has given me, I had to name my diary after Ash. So whenever I feel like writing something, I always start with "Dear Ash," and it feels like I am actually writing to him. Obviously, I poured all the devastation I felt over Ash in that diary, lol.

A video full of educational information on Asian cultures?! Josh you're spoiling us! TwT. I love love loveeeee this type of content. It's so hard to find information on Asian cultures here and even more an Asian person talking so casually about them. This video made my day *sniff.* A tip for avocados (although I think you bought a box so maybe you couldn't check them): Avocados (at least how they're eaten where I'm from) are eaten when they are the softest (like, super soft), that's what we consider an avocado "ripe for eating." Because it's soft, it's easy to cut open and remove the seed, also to spoon out the yummy inside. Nevertheless I think your effort to prepare all of the food and the decoration is amazing!

it's really not the topic of the video but you know I began realizing after watching your videos why I never worked out my crushes, for example, I had a girl in my class that kind of resembles you short hair boyish, and good at sports and i really crushed on her so bad, but slowly I began realizing that I was never really in love with her I was in love with the tomboyish cool-girl image. I think the reason you still crush on apple pie is that she doesn't really know you or have any expectations for you. weird rant I know but I am still glad I found you and this channel it made me realize a lot

Me minding my own business: My guilty conscience: So,,,, how does it feel to live constantly in ignorance? Denying the death of the person you love? Oh? The anime ending doesn't show the fact that Ash actually died? So it's an open ending? Like a secret ending where he was taken to the hospital? Your headcanon is that he's still alive and is happily married to Eiji in Japan. Cute, but are you sure? Are you really sure though? Even though you've read the manga? You know the ending. You know how it all ended. You can't move on the same way Eiji can't move on. You both are broken. And it will remained that way. Forever. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMM OK-

Also, I forgot to mention: did you know way back in the day (1800s, maybe? I’m not sure) in America we considered sea food like crab or shrimp to be “poor people” food? Then the rich did what the rich always do, and made it a rich people trend? So that’s why seafood is so expensive (at least in America). I find that amusing, considering how you called shrimp “bugs of the sea”. Lol people back then probably had similar thoughts. Bugs or not, I love me some sea food. (I should probably mention sea food is probably cheaper depending on how close you are to the ocean. My state is closer to the middle of the US, no ocean in sight, so sea food is probably more expensive here than it is in, say Florida or California.)

also for the whole who eats the offering things? you can actually eat it, even in hungry ghost festivals , at the end of the event there's a whole section of people taking away the offerings to bring home. the ghost only needs to suck up the essence? life force or whatever out of the food and it's kinda how we explain the food going stale and such. but if you wanna leave it out for the animals to eat, you can as well but at least in my family we eat it.
