these probably aren't just any normal merfolk. these are Merrows, specific to Irish folklore; while the females resemble the stereotypical mermaid and are very beautiful, the males are described to be hideous, with bulging eyes and fin-like legs and arms. man, I always love these genre of mythological/folkloric creepypasta.

With the way the sea changes at the beginning I am reminded of the Japanese "mermaid" legends. In the myth if you eat of the flesh of a "mermaid" (fish with a human head) you become immortal but forever afterwards the sea hates you and continuously seeks to take back the life you have stolen. We are talking Tidel Waves, hurricanes, and floods. Any boat you get on immediately is pulled under, all coats land is immediately at high tide when you approach and so on.

The fish person's saying of "sinner of the land" reminds me of another creepypasta I quite enjoyed, about the last lighthouse keeper of scotland (?) and his battle against fish people. It was a fun one to listen to, i've yet to refind it to listen again, i forget who narrated it... also startin to wonder if this was written by the same person.

He has the perfect level of animation to stop rumination, mixed with the right balance of soothing narration to soothe anxiety. Somehow he protects against nightmares, but I get interesting dreams!

hy guys, i'm looking for help from the community, one of my favorite creepypasta readers (like lighthouse horror) completely disappeared from youtube a couple of years ago and i cannot seem to find any information on him (like he's been scrubbed from the internet entirely, and i was wondering if his channel may have been uploaded somewhere else? or just anything known really...so here is what i remember: the intro to his channel was done in a CGI first person view through a camera stumbling through some spooky woods as static flickers in and out before coming to a run down house where a zombie shambles out and lurches towards the camera. story: he was best known for a zombie series (i believe he invented) that was incredibly disturbing and graphic and gory (to the point i am now like 50% sure it could be the reason he's not on youtube anymore,) but it had little branching single video stories revolving around the disease and sorta world building around it, it could turn people into your average zombies or incredibly violent and insane people who would horrifically brutalize you while they kill you as well, a main portion of the story revolved around a group of survivors that sent (who would be) 3 of their main characters out on a scavenging mission, 1 was a younger girl and the others 2 men where they eventually run into the crazies and one of the men is infected while the girl is separated while on the run, the 2nd guy was going to kneecap the infected dude before he turned to let the zombies and crazies have him before they could catch up but he turned too quickly which lead the guy to hiding in a dumpster while the crazed man returned to the survivors hide out and murdered the remaining survivors (on of which was a pregnant woman who was the mother of the young girl) and the story sorta splits off from there between the girl who was separated and the other guy who hid in a dumpster where the story continued to progress, but anyone who has heard the story should know what i am talking about from that description... while i was sometimes disturbed by parts to the point i had to skip past a few minutes, it was still a really compelling story non the less and i was always drawn in to hear what happened next, so i would really like to find out where he went if nothing else to have the closure in knowing the story will either never be finished or that he's either moved to another platform or is just on hiatus

Just switch our artistic protagonist to a weathered and drunk Irish seaman who had no effs to give - this story wouldn't be a creepy pasta. It'd be a dark comedy that would end with our seaman grilling the sea-monster right there on that beach.

I'm pretty sure that I've listened to you before, as I skip around KZbin looking for creepy/scary stories to listen to, sometimes while trying to fall asleep. I shouldn't have touched that could very well be the motto on my family crest. I see a button, I must to push it. There's a link, click it. I was given a biofeedback machine in HS to learn how to control my migraines and when it got to easy, I just figured out which buttons would raise the difficulty threshold and adjusted it. My psychologist wasn't quite happy with my handiwork, but admitted I figured it out correctly before having me promise not to do it again on my own.
