To be honest the first year or so after your friends had a baby they're still pretty easy to chat with. Its when they start walking and talking and demanding attention that it becomes tricky to have normal conversations. And there is a risk they'll have nothing else to discuss if they're a stay at home parent. But with most of my friends it was fine. Just try to hang out between naptimes or when the other parent has the kid.

Did you ever heard of this person called Ryan George or the person only doing ads as videos called Ryan Reynolds? Oh! I just noticed all three people are from Canada! So make awesome content must be something with the air or water there. Thank you Julie for making all this fantastic content.

I'm not sure if it does anything but even if I have no intention of buying whatever the sponsor is selling I still click the link in the description so at least they know they got some interaction from their ad dollars.

Nailed the ad. Awesome hook at the beginning.

perfect nuance of score and disinterest by the childfree person.... opposite, unexpected clichés w the new mum wanting to talk about anything and everything and the childfree person falling under the spell... amazing!

I like that she pointed out the fact that everyone talks about their thing. People who work out or go to an office or have a specific diet or went on a vacation or have a child want to talk about those things, but for some reason only some are criticized as boring when they all are(n't) if you think about it.

There's limited research on the subject, but many experts theorize that the "what" behind the newborn scent is the vernix caseosa. That's the white, waxy coating that protects your baby's skin in utero and holds in moisture. (Think of it as natural Vaseline.) Vernix caseosa, also known as vernix or birthing custard, is the waxy white substance found coating the skin of newborn human babies. It is produced by dedicated cells and is thought to have some protective roles during fetal development and for a few hours after birth. But.... A study from 2019 considered the scent of amniotic fluid compared to the scent of a newborn baby’s head and found that while some components were similar, the newborn scent featured more chemical elements and was individually distinct.

The funniest part for me is I watched almost that exact same thing happen in real life. I had a friend who swore she never wanted kids ever. Nothing would ever change her mind. That was all fine for other women, but she didnt want any part of having children. Then, one day she held a 1 week old in her arms. the next day she was telling her husband how they need to have 10 kids. Fortunately her husband did want kids and so now they both wanted kids. and they had them. but not ten. Julie, you are extremely skilled in your art. I hope you continue to pursue it. I hope you continue to grow the audience you have worked hard for, and I hope you have a lot of fun and laughter along the way.
