I can imagine 621 "body" being just a brain with wires inside of a box that has wheels.

Utterly grim and I could fully believe it. This game does have dark vibes with the state of the world and the people in it.

I always imagined them as like a barely alive corpse Cause in the trailer you coule see 621 covered under a sheet But given how they talk about 621 they might as well just be a brain in a jar functionally

Very cool idea and i wish there was confirmation that that's what "augmentation" meant, but SPOILER WARNING i believe there are sketches in game that show a number of named characters and they all just look like people, even the ones that have undergone augmentation

@@kindabreezy8286 those are usually later augmentations The earlier ones were basically technomancy

The fun thing about Balteus is that he used to be harder. I spent an hour on him and then quit the game until they nerfed him.

@@Arganoid hell no. malenia is always a challenge, unless you are way overleveled and/or have your build crafted perfectly to counter her. balteus goes down easy on repeated runs, no matter what build you're using. they didn't even nerf him that hard to begin with, his stats are still nearly identical. the only thing that makes him feel so much easier is just figuring out how to counter him.
@vradrax14 күн бұрын
The "nerfs" were slight changes to the missile tracking and a slight change to the bazooka's velocity (it hits you 0.1 seconds later than before). They don't meaningfully alter the fight. You just got better at the game.

Not sure about the other Armored Core games, but this one at least seems to stress altering your load out a lot. It's a good thing that you can buy and sell back gear as you go to facilitate this, otherwise the grind would be rough. Is interesting the Training Sims do humanize your opponents so much. It seems like you end up knowing more about them then other enemies, or 621. Wonder why they made that choice.
@earthbound999920 күн бұрын
Most of the previous games also put a lot of focus on altering your loadout constantly, but ACVI is certainly less punishing about it than previous games.

148:12 Older AC games had a stagger mechanic that worked pretty much the same, but there wasn't a visible meter and tutorials never mentioned it.

I’m enjoying this play through because Keith is a good presenter. However, I really don’t know that I like the game. The main character seems to be a bad person who murders other (often but not always bad) people, at the behest of capitalist corporations. I’m sure it gets more complex later, but so far I don’t get the motivation to care for the progress of this main character. In Dark Souls (and other similar games made by FromSoftware), you’re usually killing horrible monsters. The rare times when you aren’t (Sif, for example), the game makes you feel like a POS for it.

Wait until you get further in the story. Keith is still in the phase of introducing the status quo and the major players

@@ahmedgamal-px4nq I mean, I think I addressed that in my comment. It’s fine to not always do good things. At least the game can comment on it. It’s still very different than just committing endless acts of murder for a corporation. You can also often make choices to be very different in Dark Souls.
