Just FYI, admitting to past drug usage will not get you criminal charges. Anyone can lie and say they did when they did not. Typically charges come from possession. Sometimes chemical tests can be used, but that usually is for DUI or child endangerment investigations. The admissions could be used by Crossfit potentially or if he were to be caught in the future possessing steroids, then they could take his statements to impeach his credibility.

My team very nearly missed out on QF because of all those individuals fluffing up team scores for affiliates. We are all QF/borderline semifinal athletes and were really close to being booted out. Even though our lowest open scorer was still 1,500 on the continent (out of 7,000+ making it individual) That math just doesn’t add up. We also only had us 4 that are actually on the team score for the team, while most other teams are using scores from 6,7 or 8 people to post throughout the open. We’re hoping that crap levels out in QF and the teams that are actually well rounded and use just the 4 team members scores won’t be punished for being an actual team.

Going back, I don't know how far, the subject was always steroids and CrossFit. Steroids and CrossFit. But, if you understand what EPO and blood transfusions do, and what kind of limits CF athletes run into, you'd first be thinking EPO and blood transfusions for Games athletes. By the way, EPO is/was the PED of choice for endurance athletes. It's far more sterile, with fewer concerns for the effects of increased blood volume. Cyclists went back to blood transfusions when testing for exogenous EPO became possible and was employed more frequently by the UCI. But blood transfusions are risky. Some cyclists got really fracked up by bad blood. Tyler Hamilton, one of the guys who confessed under oath and helped spill the beans on Armstrong, tells a harrowing story that would make anyone think twice about it. Apparently what's still going on in pro cycling is the microdosing of EPO. Small amounts that clear much faster. You don't get the big bang of full EPO doses, and you also don't suppress natural EPO as much, but you're at less risk of getting caught.

One thing you haven’t mentioned, and it’s a HUGE ADVANTAGE of using PED’s (I’ve used them before) is the mind-muscle connection you get from using. Think about a Oly lifter, the time/amount of reps to get the mind muscle neuro connection takes a long time. From my experience PEDs essentially “speed up” that process. ie. getting your first muscle up or learning a new movement comes way fucking quicker, not even close to the same amount of time. This to me is the top 3 advantages of PEDs just as big as the muscle growth/recovery aspect.
@stephenherold9784
@stephenherold9784 2 жыл бұрын
Basically, CrossFit is a sport with a shit ton of different movements and an athlete has to master so many. Most of the movements CFs do are their own individual sport. This is why PEDs will always be very prevalent in CrossFit. And why even a sport like Golf has ppl who use PEDs not for the muscle/cardio/recovery but simply because the mind-muscle connection is sped up ALOT.

All I’m saying is there’s a particular individual who placed 13th in the open whom is 34 years old that intermediate fasts in the morning and has said in his media teams video that he has a problem with his blood sugar. People who use Human Growth Hormone fast when they administer their dose to get the most out of it so the food/carbs don’t inhibit their release of IGF from their liver. HGH and GH releasing peptides all increase glucose blood sugar. Coincidence? Idk, he is a 9x champion in team and individual. Or maybe he’s a genetic monster.

Very interesting interview! As a beginner steroids is a shortcut to get where you want or cut the time to your goal. But for those who has trained for a long time or are very close to their natural max then it's not doing as much but it will take you beyond you natural max. As for blood doping that has to be the only thing a normal person should not do and only professionals. The risks can't be worth it for an amateur. Especially the type of blood doping where you draw blood from yourself and then put it back in your body. If doing that kind of doping I think pills that increase your red blood cell count would be the safest yet still dangerous in comparison to regular AAS. I think PEDs are very interesting topic because it shows the real potential of the human body, imo. It's capable of so much more if you shut off the body's "safety protocol" so to speak. Again I would say PEDs makes sports way more exciting but people might not realize that because they don't believe or don't want to believe PEDs are used. In my view records wouldn't be broken year after year without PEDs, period. But as far as PEDs in CF I have always thought blood doping has to be the best type or compound to use for CF since it's an oxygen demanding type of exercise. I don't know if they even test for that because I believe it's hard and expensive to test for. At least at some point I know it was.

A lot of evidence to show that testosterone actually weakens ligaments and tendons. It is great for a muscle tear recovery but may actually put users at greater risk for support tissue injuries. Many users also report feeling stiffer especially young guys that get on it can attest to the serious stiffening that occurs that older people might not be as aware of.

From my research Testosterone does not weaken ligaments or tendons. People who are on gear get tears because of the rapid muscle growth. Endurabol, enclomiphene citrate 25mg a day, anastrazole, good genetics, and a shit ton of hard work. That’s my guess for what CrossFit people take. Maybe an occasional test cycle during off season that they can maintain before competition by keeping natural test high with enclomiphene.

I’ve also noticed that some of my favorite cross fitters not only are leaner and lighter now they are also stronger. My theory is the entire sport has progressed to different drugs throughout the last decade. So yes, the switch to peptides is my suspicion because test causes so much bloating and water weight. A 500mg a week test cycle causes so much anabolic activity that you’d get calf and ankle pumps so bad just from walking through the mall that the idea of CrossFit is just out of the realm of possible. Even moderate doses of trt can cause huge muscle pumps from endurance work that limit one’s ability to keep going. If you look at guys like rich, Tia, and gui they are all very lean and dryer looking than they used to look at almost all times of the year. That’s not a look consistent w testosterone use at least not without extreme dieting that would hinder CrossFit performance.

I, as a 59 year old white-collar woman, have stood next to many of the top male and female crossfitters. They are not a big as you are making them out to be. They are very in shape, lean, ripped. Because that's what they spend 24/7/365 to be. And they are the ones that have the best athletic background, genetics, and mentality to be at the top. It would be great if you could stop comparing yourself and others that aspired to, but didn't make the cut, to the top 20 CrossFitters in the world. Most athletes don't make the Olympics, or even the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc., either.

Agree with this. I’m always shocked when I see top athletes in person and see that they are much leaner than anticipated. Ok, no hate but nothing on this story makes sense. Military will 100 discharge you for getting caught taking steroids. 1500 mg test is a fkn huge first cycle. You would have massive estrogenic sides and blow up with water. 1250 mg is an insane winstrol dose. You can't mix winstrol and test in the same syringe because test is an oil based depot injection and winstrol is a water based suspension. Oral winstrol is much more common. You cannot put on 35 lean pounds in 2.5 mo no mater what you take. No noob lifter, even on gear, is benching 225 for 39 or squatting 405. He is a big strong guy? 6-2 and 205 is not big and a 385 bench is better than 99 percent of gym rats. Face it, this guys story is a troll.

Agreed. 6’2” 240lb at 6% bodyfat are better stats then Arnold Schwarzenegger had at his Best Olympia win. So this guy became better than Arnold in 10 weeks? B.S. At 1500 test a week maybe 20lbs were acne puss.

Although it seems very obvious to me that you’re not encouraging anyone to use PEDs and you’re always very clear about the fact that people should make their own decision, just in case, you should start the video with a written disclaimer when that’s the subject. Something like the guy from more plates more dates does, saying that it’s only a discussion, educational purposes blah blah blah. The world is full of not so trusty people so it would help.

that guy from plates and dates seems nice but he really needs a teenager to help him sort out his videos. He is so long winded......

Damn I wish names would come out. Its mind boggling to think all top 120 semifinals athletes are on something. It would be fun if there was no drug testing and that just let em all go to town and then we can really see whos the fittest. One guy u mentioned subtly was Noah. He was a skinny kid and now is jacked. All his posts people comment that hebhas a hgh gut 🤷🏽‍♂️

I've been on TRT for 8 years & done CrossFit and my testosterone level is and has been 670-850 since I was 33. But the level I was at is the same level and the average man,

also his numbers are off. if he is on 300mg of testosterone his testosterone level should be around 1000-1200 which is 400 nanograms per deciliter higher that the average male. Just because your numbers are high does not mean more recovery or that you feel better. There are so many more numbers that play a role like estradiol. He got bitch tits because his test was converting to estrogen and causing that because he was not taking a estrogen blocker. He was also taking sustain which has 3-4 different esters of testosterone which means it releases in his body at different times. A smart athlete (not competing for money like myself and under a doctors care) who wants steady blood levels would take cypionate or enanthate which has a 3-4 day half life and take .5ml every 3.5 days. again these are traceable on a drug test longgggggg after the hormones are out of you body because it messes with estrogen, prolactin, hematocrit, psa, LHA ect......
