I used to work in a game shop similar to what the sim is. Got to know the owners really well. It did good but they really had to HUSTLE to make things work. The margins are not great and you're always hanging by a thread. If you have the money to open a game store you'd 100% probably do better to invest your money into something else. So I feel like this game should start with "Are you REALLY sure you want to open a card game shop?" and if you choose "NO" it should display "YOU WIN!" with confetti and a kazoo playing victory music.
@vampirelibrarian7772 ай бұрын
it’s a shame to learn shops like this have such poor margins, I assume that’s why so many of them close down :(, I would love to open a shop like this just because I think the community in places like these is so awesome

Honestly, my local shop was eerily similar to the layout RT went with, and they recently shut down because of exactly what you've said. They tried combining it with a cafe for people sitting down to play to help, but most people went to the local board game cafe since it has much nicer food.

At least two of the game stores I know are the pet projects of very rich men. Speaking of which, I do not recommend working for someone who runs their business like a hobby. Because they will also pay you like it's a hobby. Not in the amount. As in, whoopsie daisy there's no money in the account, I'll pay you next week for sure. Realistically you'd have to run at a huge loss to start with and struggle to make a profit before you go bankrupt. (And least by what I hear it's a LOT easier to *stay* in the black and out of the red then it is to first *get* in the black and out of the red... no wonder we need games to play out the fantasy, instead of being able to just do store running for real.)

Did I seriously just watch him open card packs for 20 minutes AND have some of the heartiest laughs I've ever had? Yes, yes I did

Ripping off customers is the funniest part of this game but it also made me realize how card shops probably ripped me off back in the days 😂😂

I 100% this game back when it was just a mobile game, crazy to see it go even more downhill

Damn this vid was wild! First, Dan compares his sponsorship to crack cocaine, then he goes full goblin mode getting high on his own supply. I was starting to wonder if he was gonna start doing any crazy rituals or something that you see addicted pack openers do.

When my friends and I played Pokémon TCG we used to joke about”Just one pack”. RT is living that motto.

It terrifies me that people will actually pay thousands upon thousands of real money just to own little squares of colored cardboard.

Funny and relevant comment about the video Edit: after watching the video, I suspect Daniel might have a gambling problem
