I enjoyed this video, as I have enjoyed all of your videos, so I was a little bit baffled when I read this comment of yours about losing subscribers. It wasn't until I read the comments by other people that I realized what the issue was, if we just say it like it is "The World is Ours to Shape" we come off sounding arrogant and will offend people. When I watched the video, I was just like "Yup, it's the truth" (especially that last part about seeing people for who they really are, yet remaining silent when we do see through people), but I didn't think at all about the emotional impact of how it would be received by non-INTJ, which may be my Fe blind spot.

Some thoughts on being INTJ: - it helps to learn storywriting. Use Ni and Fi to wrap people in juicy word salad. - debating is a great hobby to mend Se with the easy functions - track your habits daily and use a paper journal. - meditate and have a checklist for checking whether your body is in pain. Thirst, Hunger, etc. Saves you some medical bills in the long term. - Focus on recurring ideas rather than impulsive ones. Par example make a list of all impulses and check it for patterns monthly. This point about Ni ignorance of red flags I find to be very true. What helps is learning about people before you let them into your life. Especially avoid taking ties with random people. Ni long term ideas can be a bit intimidating to people. Like par example setting up things 5 months in advance when you met someone new. Learn to not disclose these things and just have them on the backburner like nice little surprises. "Let actions speak instead of words." is something I live by. Therefore I don't tell people about my plans ahead of time.

go deeper! I think that'd be a great idea I fully agree that INTJs can learn stuff quite fast since they are like machines doin' stuff all the time unlike INTPs (like me) who are inclined to think that thinking is an activity. It is, but it doesn't get stuff done even if an arbitrary INTP has solved the problem in his mind; not doing anything with the solution is so Ti and so incredibly bad to the degree that it can lead to frustration and (irreversible) procrastination xD A great INTJ friend of mine is productive throughout the day; he does so very efficiently and gets a lot of stuff done while I'm sometimes way too lazy to do anything other than thinking abt stuff. INTJs have the eminent advantage of Ni as their apex function which is sheer willpower. This means they can will themselves through almost anything (in order to achieve their goals/visions/whatever). It's just that we abstract (intuition as a primary or auxiliary function) ppl are way too uncommon (~30% of the population) and therefore must appear extraterrestrial to the concrete ppl So, I have great respect for INTJs in general. They'd make great politicians, way better than any INTP ever could be
@justcallmejon22Ай бұрын
I think most INTJs have great respect for INTPs as well so the feeling is mutual. I want to note that it's funny that we're seen as productive when it personally feels like we're not "doing much" unless it's working towards a goal 😅

Being supposedly an INTJ I will say this much - when it comes to interacting with people I'm quite adept at first impression reading. What I mean by that? I mean that I'm detecting bullshit when I meet somebody for the first time. This is very practical because I know when I absolutely don't want somebody in my life. A useful talent when you don't have a lot of time and don't want to waste what little time you have. Second thing is what you mentioned about never being bored. I practically don't stop thinking and I'm very aware of that. There is always some thought marinating in the background that I can use in the future after it's been analysed or thought through. This is incredibly valuable to me especially because of my passion for TTRPGs as I can use that trait of mine to think inbetween sessions what to do next and still do something else at the same time. This is closely related to our obsession with future.

As I'm sure you already do with any youtube comment, take this with a grain of salt. That said, this video sounds like it was mostly sourced from memes. Since we can't change our type, and since every type suffers from the same basic issue of one-sidedness anyway, we may as well each enjoy being whatever type we are. And for those who struggle to see something good in themselves, it can be a useful starting point to recognize certain advantages (and the corresponding disadvantages) of having certain cognitive preferences. But far more important than our wiring is our choices. Even if we (falsely) pretend like we just flat-out have more potential than any other type, it means jack squat if we don't learn how to steward it in a productive and positive way. I understand we all need a starting point, so things like this video can be legitimately helpful in getting some basic validation for how we might stereotypically appear externally or feel internally. I guess I'd just like to add that it's only a very basic starting point, and not a ticket to a worthwhile life.

@justcallmejon22 If your only goal is to generate more youtube comments, I suppose leaving peurile responses like that is technically a valid strategy. If so, then goal accomplished, I suppose. If your goal is to provide useful information about type, that breed of comment will only invalidate your credibility. Blindly presuming someone's a different type because they don't immediately give you the validation you're seeking is a poor precedent if you're presenting yourself as a model for others to follow (especially those who already have barely anyone to whom they can relate or aspire to emulate). I get being different and having to walk alone because no one actually sees beyond what's convenient for them to notice. I get having to prop yourself up and double down on self-validation because other people don't even have conceptual room for your gifts and create the unceasing impression that the only way to ever be accepted is to be something other than yourself. I get being ignored, overlooked, unnoticed, and devalued in such a bitterly ironic way that it makes you jaded toward the whole world around you. I get wanting to prove the whole world wrong by showing you're not only adequate, but actually better than them at the things they value. I'm only saying that those experiences are only the start of the journey, not that they're invalid. There's more to you than responding in kind to a world that seems to have no care or room for you. Wearing those wounds as a badge of honor is fine for a time, and is probably unavoidable in the process of self-discovery and self-development. But holding too closely to them, while at times cathartic and maybe even somewhat necessary for self-validation, is not healthy or useful long-term. There's life and meaning beyond the memes.

Believe it or not, I actually appreciate what you're doing. I grew up before social media, when the general concept of personality types was really only discussed in relation to careers (and not in the more holistic way it's beginning to be understood now). Discovering type and being "seen" for the first time in my life was a game changer. You're helping people reach that point, and I applaud you for it. Eventually, though -- maybe in a couple years, maybe in a couple decades -- the fascination with self-validation through oversimplified type comparisons will start to diminish. Once you're no longer starved for approval, life looks different and you're able to see further. Right now you're the king of the playground; the other kids are looking to you for inspiration (as well they should, because you're doing the hard work of helping them through the struggles you've already faced). And I know that may sound belittling, but it really isn't. I'm not trying to discourage you or others, or undo anything you've accomplished. Neither am I encouraging passivity. I'm just acknowledging that for anyone who has reached the point I described, there's more to personality types and more to life than what they've seen and heard so far. It's an encouragement for anyone who's already familiar with the space you're describing -- and has maybe spent years there -- that that mindset is not the end of the road.
@yeshua-on-wingsАй бұрын
When I say a mindset is unhealthy, I only mean that it has a shelf life. Keep consuming it past its period of usefulness, and it won't benefit you any longer. You will always have a right and ample justification to feel the way you described, but in the long run it won't get you where you actually want to go. You may not see it yet, but you will eventually escape certain aspects of your present reality if you keep growing. I'm sure you've already made great strides in your life, as evidenced by your excitement in helping others along the journey. Keep at it! Just don't stay too long in the trap of overemphasizing your own preferences and gifts. Type describes our starting point, not our destination.

I have a lot to admire about INTJs in spite of the differences. Cognitively speaking they have the capacity to truly achieve whatever they desire, what's not to admire? :'D Although, I do have a thought... About manipulation. I think INTJs are master manipulators indeed, but of processes, of rules and boundaries. Ni with Te I imagine allows them to see the overarching blue print or map of existence, allowing them to get to their destinations easily. But in the case of manipulating people... Hm... I don't know if it's noticed by most, but their gaze... Their undying determination when their heart is set on something... Or their cold indifference to the mundane... Also one more thing that we have in common is that we observe ppl a lot like even if someone just passes by i would still deeply observe them. I like to look at the little details then i like to tell them later that "i noticed this about you and i admire that about you" just to make them happy and to remind them that someone cares about them but sometimes we use that skill for manipulation like observe someone inside out and use their weaknesses and strengths against them. As a more mature INTP that's incorporated my (ENTJ) shadow functions, I also relate to every single one of these.. 😁 Ni critic allows us to be just short of INTJ's Ni, but with the advantage of Ti dom and being way ahead of the game utilizing Ne in comparison to an INTJ encorporating their shadow - Te ends up holding INTJ back in the long run when they've mastered utilization their own Ti critic, the way I see it... The *main thing* I'd be jealous of an INTJ is their *meticulous sense of energy preservation*, unlike me ya'll don't burn out because of your hyper efficiency. All this said, I look at INTJ's as my brethren and the closest type to us, personally feel all the NT's are a subset typing that just sees the world radically different than the other types... Love INTJ's and their efficiency and unique perspective, we INTP's just the weirdo sibling with almost the same unique skills but would rather go off into lala land pursuing their own interests instead of whatever the rest of the world is doing. ✌

@@sweettalent371 I agree with most of your comment. INTPs can also work often times even more efficiently than INTJs. It’s the Ni func that provides them with nearly relentless willpower. They can outwork or outwill their burn out which is actually crazy thinking abt it. Even when their efficiency isn’t all too well they at some point outwork and therefore compensate for that slight lack or inaccuracy in efficiency. We INTPs are much more lazy in general due to Ti-Ne being in our heads primarily while more often than not achieving abstract results. Si child (3rd slot) leads to cowardly preferring comfort while Se is performance, so INTJs have a need to perform in the real world which makes us INTPs less productive in general even though through our obsession with system optimization we can become much more efficient in our work/performance/methods/approach/whatever if and only if we finally get to perform in the real world The perceived difference to other ppl comes from the fact that abstract ppl are generally alien to concrete ppl. Intellectuals and idealists are abstract and concerned with the optimization, modification and creation of existing and new systems. For idealists these systems are hippie-like see morality, values, etc. since they are affiliative by nature and for intellectuals systems of interest are technical, formal, structural, scientific, etc. Most of my friends are concrete and they can’t get their head around me being much more interested in maths like abstract algebra than going to a powerwolf concert, playing vid games or so. Concrete ppl are rather interested in the maintenance or troubleshoot of systems. They usually aren’t inclined to optimization or creation and abstraction or abstract knowledge which obv must and does lead to a misunderstanding of each other. Their concreteness leads them to prefer productivity in concrete domains and the preference for material objects and the following dopamine induction coming from it

Now i think that share market is the only thing worth to learn But again i cant legally practically learn that due to being underage I feel like i wont be able to learn share market with full concentration until or unless i actually invested in share market and has something to loose . I want to do things that actually matter alot . And i think i have already dont them .

Hello Niece/Nephew, my suggestion is to do what feels right because I promise you that things never turned out as planned. My biggest suggestion at your age is to learn how to enjoy life. The more you engage with the world physically instead of just reading or researching about it, the more you will understand yourself and what you really want to do. You're an INTJ, you'll figure things out eventually, take this time to figure yourself out. Good luck kiddo, remember that life is meant to be lived ✊

I would be personally interested if you started incorporating enneagram into your videos as I believe it can really make your type present differently depending on what your enneagram is, I'd be an enfp 9w8 so/sx 974 🙏
@caravue7033Ай бұрын
All people are different regardless of their personality types because we have different life experiences. I think the enneagram thing mixed with the MBTI would be confusing, to me at least.
@PinkywinkykinkyАй бұрын
@@caravue7033 I don't think it has to be unless it's people complicating it more trying to dictate that only specific types can have specific enneagrams but I see what you mean, still interesting to me as my enneagram can make me a more fe-ish enfp you could say with my social instinct included
@justcallmejon22Ай бұрын
I'm not a fan of blending typology systems. Each systems have their own sets of rules that the other contradicts so it doesn't make sense for me to ignore the contradictions even if there might be validity in other aspects. It also tends to lead to more stereotyping and I personally think typologys is only one aspect of a person and should be treated as such.
@PinkywinkykinkyАй бұрын
@@justcallmejon22 I think it can also broaden horizons on how a type can present but yeahh understandable, I just can't help but connect them both in my mind when I notice the different between types and enneagram's and find it interesting/useful to connectthe two 🙏

good ego boost ain't it
@Elodie_N_INTJ_AnalyzesАй бұрын
Not at all - Personally my ego can't be boost, it doesn't have this effect at all - We are more likely to have low self-esteem, and impostor syndrome. With our Fi 3rd, Fe 7th, we have hard time to accept compliments, it can makes us very uncomfortable. - So I don't think the INTJ ego can be boost by others. For me, Jon just share Te Se facts, not Fe to make people feel good. I guess you are not INTJ.

@@hidum5779 Oh sorry 😢 (those time I should shut-up instead to comment, I saw that as something mean. Not easy when it's just words without seeing the person) Thank you, you opened my mind. It's interesting, cause I thought "taking things literally" was only an Asperger/Autism trait. I just checked and ADHD too. I understand better now why an INTJ ADHD friend, struggled to understand certain figurative expressions. (surely because of that I don't like jokes) (Gifted, Asperger, ADHD on my side)

@@Elodie_N_INTJ_Analyzes yeah no problem and chill out. Sometimes the Ni imagines something entirely different that what it actually is. My journey has been quite intense and I've learned to make my ADHD as my strength. I went through depression and suicidal thoughts, fought and defeated an addiction with my own willpower and this is just the start. I'll be doing a lot more and be the best version of myself. And yes - soon you'll see this INTJ as an upcoming nuclear scientist (with the heart of a mechanical engineer) who will change the world in the next 40 years :D by providing it with the clean energy and letting the earth breathe once again.

I don't trust any such videos unless one can define and explain what an INTJ is ontologically compared to other types such as an ISTJ without using overgeneralized stereotypical premises as their explanation. Unless that is true INTJs don't exist. Considering the flawed distribution but which is taken as truth in regards to type. It should all be STJs. So unless one can prove that I see only STJs everywhere.
