Basically he felt like he was being too hard on sephiroth and lost motivation from trying him on and off during the only online tournament time of smash. That and he felt like he would only be disappointing his old self by dropping seph for that reason so he's gonna keep improving on him and try to win a major with him this year

Tweek I know I'm just some random guy online. But I just hope you know there are fans who genuinely believe in you. We know you have the knowledge and skill to win super majors. We know you have a whole host of characters you can win with (Sephiroth is the most interesting imo). It speaks to your skill. Tweek I’m a realist and I’m different from these optimistic fanboys. You and I both know that you’ve fallen off. You will most likely have to fight tooth and nail just to crack a top 10 ever again. I like how some people comment on these videos and speak doubt over a player when most of us aren’t top players and have NO CLUE what it requires, takes, demands to be a top player. Don’t give advice or speak negativity over other competitors if you don’t have the balls to compete yourself. Once you’ve actually got your ass handed to you by a top player, then we can give advice on how to have a better mentality and be better. Just encourage players and believe they will be better.
