I watched a documentary, in Brazil that in fact toddlers were drinking Coke in their bottles! Their version of the FDA partnered with McDs and brought soda merch and Ronald to schools and had regular pep rallies. Obesity and type 2 diabetes was prevalent in 5 year olds.

Diet Pepsi is vegan in America but at least as of 2021 I think? It wasn’t in the UK. Canada, the UK and America all use slightly different ingredients for their sodas which is why it isn’t considered vegan in the UK but is in the USA (Source:the internet said so)

@@dankblonde7173 first I am not a professional I don’t actually have any sort of inside scoop or anything like that lol. That being said from what I’ve seen and heard it is the UK recipe that is not vegan friendly. It’s only on Pepsi’s UK site not the US one that is says it’s not vegan friendly. As far as I know they haven’t said what the ingredient is that isn’t vegan but odds are it’s some sort of gelatin or honey. Long story short from what I can tell, Diet Pepsi in the USA is vegan friendly :)

I *hate* diet soda. I will refuse a drink if it's diet soda because of how nasty it tastes to me - metallic and not sweet with an awful aftertaste/feel, just as you described it. It also kinda tastes soapy to me, like dishwater. Using it as a mixer doesn't help either - just makes the entire drink awful.

Have you tried all sweeteners? I hate the taste of stevia and sucralose but erythritol (swerve) tastes like nothing. Aspartame is also pretty mild and I hear good things about monk fruit.

I wasn't here for this stream so I'll give my opinions now even though they don't matter: as a regular soda drinker, coke zero and pepsi zero are way better than diet because they taste more similar to regular, but the diet dr. pepper strawberries and cream he was drinking? Somehow it's amazing, and I hate every other iteration dr. pepper. It doesn't taste like it's missing something like other diet sodas do, and it doesn't have the weird flavor that normal dr. pepper has. Magical. (dr. pepper lovers please don't come after me, it's too many different flavors mixed together and it simply doesn't work for me!)
