I like how Jordan made up the story line that his wife was gonna get mad at him in 45 days. He’s very good at story telling.

I am so impressed. My Dad was a general contractor and I have been doing home repairs for years....I HATE sanding. I'll paint. It is to bad you don't have company. I am impressed and can't wait for next week.If I were there I would use a paint stick to paint. You have to get used to it but it makes everything so much easier and faster. You suck the paint into the stick and don't have to keep rolling it into the pan, which you may or may not step in while your working so no pan! Lol Also they make a large cup with a handle that you use with your paintbrush that has liners that you can just throw away when you are done.DO NOT buy a cheap brush. It makes a world of difference. Buy Purdy or whatever professional brush they have. Don't leave your brushes dirty, clean them well when you are done. Leave them in the fridge when you are not using them if you are coming back the next day. Wrap them well in plastic wrap to leave them in the fridge. If you need any help or suggestions just let me know where to contact you so I can send my contact info. I am praying for you! Amazing job! ~Deb

You’ve got this Jordan! Try setting a timer for 15 minutes everyday to get some done (mostly for sanding or painting, I realize that won’t work with mudding) and say you can stop after 15 minutes. 15 minutes of progress every day adds up!

My Dad tells this story about when he was doing this step for our house, I vaguely remember it because I was 7. Anyway, he had taped off the room to sand the mud, he starts, and then he hears, "Hey Dad, whatcha doing?" My little brother who was 4 at the time had ripped down the plastic sheet because he was curious what Dad was doing. My Dad was horrified because this dust was about to go everywhere so he yelled, "AHHHHH! DANIEL WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!"

I love the quick, little in the moment prayer, I find them so encouraging and powerful! I'm glad that you and your family took the time to have a holiday; it's so easy to forget how important rest is.

That's always an amazing feeling when you realize that you don't have to do as much work as you anticipated! Although it seems like the sanding did take longer...I suppose everything needs to even out in the end.

I don’t know if I ever mentioned, but my mom has been watching this series as well. She’s always loved home improvement things though. 😂 Plus, we’re all just excited to see you succeed and have a fully finished house! I think you’ll get it done by Thanksgiving for sure. 👍

Doing a project like this, I bet it makes you appreciate how people make a living from doing it. My husband is a contractor and sometimes his pricing takes people aback but I think it's mostly because they don't understand how much work goes into it... Not to mention material pricing. 😅

That's neat that the magicmind stuff doesn't have much caffeine for those who are more sensitive to that. I have had to drink decaf drinks more these days. The project is looking very nice! Getting some paint on will be exciting ! I was reminded today that excellence is not perfection. Not sure if that helps any, but hopefully that can bring more balance mentally in this project for you :) Have a great week!
