Used one of these not too long ago, in a studio. Perhaps it was the placebo effect of being excited in there , but this things "analog" mode sounds delightful. I just pulled the trigger on one of the cheaper ones off of reverb for about $110

Great video with some fine guitar licks. I really liked the tone of the Hardwire Distortion---it did not sound like a large bee hive. I'm going to buy these two pedals. Thanks Robert ! Great opener brother!!! 🎸🎸

I've had a Digitech BP-50 bass pedal for many years. Damn good pedal for the price, and the 'Arena' reverb set to about '3' is very convincing.

Digitech and DOD were doing absolutely amazing things during this era IMO. Great demo my dude!
@RobertWJackson3 жыл бұрын
The DOD brand was still on the shelf at the time the Hardwire series was out. It was Tom Cram who revived it when he took over the division shortly after this era.

Robert I have been picking up these pedals left and right I have decided to make a pedalboard with only hardwire pedals. I have been so impressed with this whole line.
@RobertWJackson2 жыл бұрын
They’re pretty awesome pedals, dude. I’ve slowly been trying to acquire the rest of the line, also. It’s too bad they didn’t sell better than they did when they were still in production.
@ramon45452 жыл бұрын
@@RobertWJackson I agree completely it’s crazy when you look at the old forums and read how they didn’t get the respect or recognition that they deserved even in some calling the hardwire line sup par. It may have taken a while but they are finally getting their due. The only down side is that they keep going higher and higher In price now lol.

it is a great pedal, like all of the Hardwire series. But it absolutely is not analog. Completely digital but it does have an analog dry signal so no digitizing your original non-effected signal. Also, the ability to select true bypass or buffered bypass with trails was a great feature.
@edwardmccoy3433 жыл бұрын
Good video, Robert. Fine guitar playing also. Rhythm and lead. I have 2 or 3 Digitech pedals, but none of the hard-wired series.

I love that beautiful guitar! Damn. Also, this seems like a cool pedal that'd be fun to play with.
@twenty3electronics3 жыл бұрын
I sold it because the clean portion of the sound is colored while the pedal is active. The effect itself is decent, but not at the expense of my core tone.
@BlackmoreDavid2 жыл бұрын
You can select true bypass mode.

I owned a hardwire tremolo. 7 modes and I couldn't get any correct sound out of it. Awful synthetic warmthless tone. it's one of the rare pedals I've sold back...this delay looks better though.

I think tremolo is just one of those effects that doesn't lend itself well to pedals. I must have had the green boss tremolo 16 times over the course of my playing and could never get over the volume drop and tone. Its been a year since this comment, what tremolo pedals are you rocking?
