I have a dress I brought about 7 years ago, that was about £150. I still wear and look after that dress and will continue to do so. Unlike cheaper clothes that I brought at the time which I no longer own because my brain did not attribute as much value to them.

My husband has a similar reaction to synthetics. He can wear wool, linnen, cotton, silk and some elastics and some polyesters. But most synthetics especially acrylics and nylons give him an instant rash. He says it feels like fire ants or super-nettles. Often synthetics feel “softer” cause of the longer fibers, but they feel courser and plasticky in a different way

even though for love & lemons are producing in china they are known for treating their workers very well, providing them with bikes and throwing parties with them and of course paying them way better. You can go on their website and read about it. That's also why their garments are a bit more expensive.

@Sheree Boulton Love Shack Fancy actually makes it a point to pay all of their workers proper wages, right up the entire supply chain, from designers, to fabric makers/dyers, to the seamstresses... they're also focused on women's empowerment and help out small designers by hiring them on. they have a big write up about it on their website.

You can easily diy the denim skirt: just buy a flared skirt second hand & buy cheaply (maybe from wish/aliexpress) metal studs in whatever shape you want. They are very easy to install, no tool needed (maybe a hammer at worst). Takes some time and work to make a design, but the skirt will look exactly like Alex's :)

wool is itchy it's not that soft like a lot of people think, it's really warm though so it's great over stuff

Really depends on the type of wool. Merino and alpaca wool are usually a lot softer. And wool blends tend to be fine as well. The advantage of wool is that it is very durable and keeps warm in winter.

You can also be allergic to wool, I thought that wool was supposed to be itchy, but apparently not that itchy

Itchiness greatly depends on the length of the fibre, but much can be done if wool is washed with proper detergent so that its clean but not entirely stripped. I love wool and its not supposed to be itchy. Also sometimes ironing can help flatten the fibres to decrease itch.

AHH You did do Love Shack Fancy!! They're such a cool company! A lady comes into my store all the time that wears their dresses and she always looks SO CUTE. Also regarding the prices on Love Shack Fancy- they're focused on sustainable practices (They use all their scrap materials as accessories like hairties and bandanas, etc) and they focus on LIVABLE WAGES and proper pay for EVERY SINGLE PERSON in their ENTIRE CHAIN of production, right down to the people who make the fabrics themselves, to the designers of each item, to the people who sew them. Doesn't matter where the people live, LSF PAYS THEM A PROPER WAGE. Which is HUGE in the fashion industry.

When the jumpsuit fit both of you I was like sisterhood of the traveling jumpsuit and then Lucy also said it and it made me happy. Both of you looked amazing in the jumpsuit. I hope you end up keeping the pink dress and the jean skirt as well. I think they both were really cute and I hope you can keep them since you loved them so much!

That denim skirt is nice, but you could fashion your own really! Add studs on it, make your own built in belt, etc... take lots of photos so you can copycat. Ah! I’m at that part in the video where she just says exactly that! lol
