Did you ever daydream about walking into a restaurant and shocking everyone with your language skills? You can do it too. Literally anyone anywhere can do this. You don't have live in China and Japan or go to university here like I did to do this. Even speaking beginner Chinese or Japanese is enough to get big reactions. You can learn enough online to do what I did in this video. Here are the tools that can help you this if you don't have time to move all the way to China and Japan and study advanced language.
Below are language learning tools I have personally used for years. Direct purchases of software from these links goes to supporting this channel.

I watched your videos, but I don't think I can learn Chinese or Japanese. Maybe I can learn a few phrases for fun, but it's so hard to learn these languages. I mean, as a Romanian, I can speak Italian and Spanish (I sometimes speak Spanitalian, because they are so similar), but Japanese and Chinese...a whole new level. I really enjoy your videos, you are a true professional.

@@ruins7025 Yes, but exposure to the English language is much bigger for Chinese people (generally), than exposure to the Chinese language for people in English-speaking countries. English is the universal language and resources to learn it are everywhere. It's also being taught in schools in most countries, including China. Therefore I do think it's more impressive for an English speaker to be fluent in Chinese, than vice versa.

I'm glad I was sent to English classes after all the kids went home. It was always so stressful because the class started on the exact time that my school ended so I had to rush and be late. But looking back I don't mind because I assume most of the kids that got to go home early can't watch anything in English. And to know English makes learning anything 100 times easier because you can just tap into all the resources that might not exist in many other languages. I can learn Japanese easier because of the good textbooks that are written in English and many good KZbinrs teaching Japanese in English.

Thank you for your advice. I am trying to learn Chinese, and I know that learning any new language requires consistency. I am really happy to get motivation to keep learning Chinese everyday. Who knows maybe in a few months later, I can speak Chinese then jump to learn Japanese as I love Japan also.

Loving the videos. It’s absolutely true that anyone can do it. I have only studied for three levels at university level and am working to test advanced high ACTFL this summer, but nothing compares to the way people’s faces light up when you speak their language to them!

Alyssa, this was one of your best videos that I've seen. You're an inspiring young woman. I guess people say that natives appreciate the effort no matter what level you are at with learning their language.

Aside from your language skills, it’s your authentic personality that makes me a fan. Combining these 2 things together is what makes your channel so special. I haven’t found another multi-language speaker like you yet nor I believe I ever will. I’m cheering for your successes Oriental pearl! Also the “I got bubble tea” song is a blues clues reference isn’t it lol
