No offense, but feels more like a ad than a review. No side-by-side tests versus a less costly router? Especially with testing the PS5 (prominently featured in the thumbnail), since even the latest Slim can't use WIFI 7 (let alone even 6E), or the faster 2.5Gb wired.

If your ISP Internet speed is 500mbps, but the wireless access point says 1000mbps, does it increase it or do you still only get the 500mbps that you pay for from the ISP.

Your max speeds are 500mbps. However, using the LAN connections on this router will give you 2.5gbps network file transfer speeds between PCs as long as they both have 2.5g NICs. The GE800 is amazing and definitely the future of home networks and online gaming but it's probably overkill for most consumers. We have fiber internet so I can take advantage of the 2.5g speeds. They are pretty much equal in terms of specs, so you have to decide which brand and style you like the best. The ASUS router doesn't have any subscription services to access all the features and TP-Link does have subscription services. I really like both routers. The GE800 is also cheaper than the BE98 Pro or the BE96U. Thanks for watching Kenneth!

@@kennethm8403 The GE800 is my pick. It covers at least 2800 square feet. If you have a 2 story home that's over 3000 sqft then the be95.

Some things need Wi-Fi and some need ethernet. I prefer ethernet all the way but my gaming laptop needs some Wi-Fi!
