The species of fish you were talking about is the incredibly endangered stoccociois raptelesis. There were only 3 left known in the world. Well 2 now.

This is Pang Nga Bay, right? I love it down there for the same reasons. Mangroves, the beauty of the nature, the smell of the water, flowers and plants. btw the green leaves, smelling like lemon, are Kaffir leaves. Have a nice time✊ Axel 🇩🇪 (living in Thailand).

Archer Fisher even more incredible than that remember that when you look through water into air and air into water there's a diffraction of the light it gets bent so it's not like sight on 100 percent from eyeball to object in a straight line it is a straight line but it doesn't appear to be a straight line. put a straw in a glass of water and notice how the straw looks bent when it gets when you're looking at it as opposed to where it's at at the top of the water out of the water. that's diffraction the light bends in water So this fish is smart enough to take into account that diffraction when it aims its its jet of water at an insect three meters away. so there are even more amazing most artificial brackets water creatures but some are freshwater and you can get them to live in a home and a queer a home aquarium. and yes they will spit out of the aquarium they see a bug in the wall that will go after it.

That's a rare mangrove stick fish, you will usually catch them at the bottom. Tip: drag a bare hook along the bottom floor for best chance of catching one. Your welcome

People there eat small fish because they don't have options, Paying 1st world tourists can put the small fish back and buy a bigger one to eat from a market. Soon there will be no more fish.
