I have to ask which KZbinr recipes should we taste test next?
@shelleyk923 жыл бұрын
You should try a challenge like in British bake off where you are told a general idea of what goes in to the recipe, but you need to guess how much and what technique you are supposed to use lol. But to answer your question... Do lauren Toyota and Liv b . They both just came out with cook books 🥰

Was it a reduced balsamic vinegar and agave, red pepper flakes, coconut aminos I think ..and on the stove ? I made some before and daughters loved it..I cant remember this one it was so good on salmon..
@maxshinske97783 жыл бұрын
I tried Sam’s a few weeks ago and marinated it for 2 days and it was much better. The inside also doesn’t fully get marinated, so it’s good to take a turkey baster and suck the liquid and squeeze it all over inside to get it fully marinated. I also added way more nori and when I cooked it, adding some of the marinating liquid helps it a lot too!

If you gently separate the slices of tofu when in the marinade, it will help the marinade get in all the nooks and crannies :)

Beancurd is just another name for tofu, it doesn't specifically refer to the dried sticks. The dried sticks are just called dried tofu/beancurd sticks or dried tofu/beancurd skin. :)

The recipe specifically says to use both tofu and bean curd sticks. :)

I am GOING to try both... I can totally. See these working well.. plus. I LOVE the cake version also which I juuuust made a pretty bomb Vital Wheat Gluten meat that I experimentally made w the soy skin Knots that I soaked and added to it for texture. I had never seen it done but I do it see working for a fish. Pretty stoked about trying the same thing for the patties.. NOTE.. I have also started adding minimum 2 Tbs of white vinegar to the Liquids portion of the Gluten meat recipe which has TOTALLY knocked the Wangk flavor of the Gluten out of the finished ""meats"" and leaves no sign of it behind 🥰👌 pretty proud of myself.. I'm telling everyone about it cause they also hate that flavor... Lol. On another note ... use white vinegar on the last wash of Butler Soy Curls because of the Wang in them also.. I soak and rinse and squeeze in water several times to get all the oil in them out and there IZZZZ alot of oil... then the last rinse I use vinegar soak a few mins and squeeze one last time.. its a process but totally worth it !!) I'd love for you to try it and tell the world so people have more variety and truely love the VWG and Soy Curls world of food.. Thanks for sharing what you learn. I'm loving your channel and subbed ☺👍👍👍👍👍

To Omnis who imagine Vegan food is always simple and bland... "🙄" Meanwhile, I've been using mainly faux ground beef, adding in minced onions, peppers, sometimes garlic, sometimes seasonings, or bbq sauce, etc., broiling on low for about 25 minutes first side, 15-20 second side, with various kinds of veg around them, to absorb their cooking juices. Whether broccoli, or tater tots, it's all good. My dad's "teriyaki burgers" were ground beef, minced onion, and rice, cooked over a charcoal grill, some slathered with bbq sauce to caramelise, half plain, to be done on a bun with just ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and fresh onion rings. I haven't attempted that yet, honestly, because I am afraid I'll end up crying. I miss my dad and sister. Anyway, thanks, Candace, for showing off your skills, and inspiring us all. You remind me of my sister. That's a compliment. Shit. Now I'm tearing up. Bye for now.
