So, I recently discovered this channel and started watching random videos back through its history... and this one stuck with me afterwards, because of the unanswered question it contains: Why did the clerk at the border not ask for the legally-required parental consent form? They always ask for that - they *have* to - but this one time, when Jaiden's mother had lost it somewhere in the chaos and turmoil of Minneapolis, he just... didn't. A lucky break, perhaps. I saw a comment suggesting that he knew she didn't have one but, being a very polite Canadian, decided not to ask for it so as not to make her day worse. Or... maybe there's an actually logical reason. See, it occurred to me a little while after watching the video - prompting me to come back here and share my theory in a comment on this 4-year-old vid. That border-crossing clerk was looking at a pair of *brand new passports* - one look at them, and he'd no doubt notice that they'd been renewed that very day. Considering his line of work, he'd no doubt also be aware that having children's passports renewed required the consent of both parents, where applicable. Thus, he might simply have concluded that there was no reason to ask for the consent-form - if the father *hadn't* consented to that trip, why would he have consented to the renewal of the passports, that very same day? Hence, he could just shrug and let them through. No point wasting time and energy on that detail when the passport renewal office had so clearly already done so. Move along, next please!

I have a similar story. So we were going back to Minnesota where we lived from Florida and we booked a Spirit flight, and if you didn’t know, spirit is a budget airline so our flight got delayed and then got canceled so we drove 17 hours to another airport but about halfway through we stopped in our tin can of a car(we liked to call it The tin can because it looked like one) We stopped at one of my moms friends house and we watched Shrek to sleep and we slept like 4 hours and then did the other half of the drive and got to the airport. It was a one hour flight but Thank God It didn’t get canceled.

i think i remember one time i almost forgot my stuffed animal giraffe named giraffey at my hotel room when i was younger and i freaked out because we got an uber to the airport but i luckily remembered that i didn't pack giraffey right before we left. i was gonna cry. i've had giraffey for about 11 years.

That's what younger siblings do. We just vibe while everybody else panics. Edit: My family and I were in a similar situation with regards to parental consent in the airport when I was a kid. Yeah... my older brother and our mom had to calm me down because I was the one getting visibly worked up.

0:18 I'm actually more of a spring/summer person (despite me being born and living in Finland, the northernmost point of Europe). I don't mind the cold in winter that much, but the ice-covered roads and sidewalks make moving from place-to-place much more risky, and every year I'm eagerly waiting for that ice to melt away. Literally the only thing that makes winter tolerable for me is Christmas. I fully understand why winter is much more fun for kids, but not as much for adults.🥶🌨
