A similar story happened to me in 2011 when I was visiting my family in New Jersey. Me and my family also stopped in Minneapolis. However because Hurricane Irene was hitting New Jersey at the time our flight to New Jersey got cancelled. We ended up going on the mall of America for a few hours than flew back home and went on a camping trip instead. We didn't go back to New Jersey until the next year.

This reminds me a lot of something that happened to me recently. I’m studying abroad in Spain for my next semester, but I needed to get a new passport since I’ve gone through a gender transition since then. I had to wait for multiple documents to get sent to me so I could prove my name change happened, and only then could I apply for a new passport, but then one morning I learned that I needed to have it within the next ten days because the person in charge was going to the Spanish embassy. That day was the most stressful of my life and I had to call to make an appointment at the passport center 30 mins from my school’s campus, which I was luckily able to go to because my friend had a car and offered to bring me there. I was so worried because you’re really only supposed to apply for an emergency passport if you’re traveling within the next 2 weeks, but fortunately no one there asked me about it and they accepted all of my documents. It was a whole ordeal and made me feel like I have terrible luck, but at the same time I was pretty lucky to have a passport center near me where none of the employees questioned my situation. Thank you for sharing Jaiden, as weird as it sounds this made me feel less alone in my travel struggles

My cousin recently moved near Niagara Falls because she now works at fort Niagara (which is a little ways away from the falls but you can drive there in like 30 minutes) and we were looking at the map a lot because we needed to figure out where to go and every single time we mention the Niagara river she should say “it’s a straight” getting continually more upset every time. It was hilarious. Also the falls are awesome

It reminded me of that time in 2016 when me and my family got stuck in the airport in Manchester losing the flight as a consequence and had to go all the way down to London by train (dragging all our luggages across the city) to grab the last flight of the day at the last minute (literally) cuz a damn dead deer blocked the railroad for 45 mins. Never saw my sister losing her shit that hard since.

Oh man, I live in Minneapolis and the Mall of America is a wild place. I also remember my parents never wanted me to go there cause apparently I would get kidnapped just for being there. Even though I never went there without them anyways. And it's a very public place, so it's highly unlikely anyone would get kidnapped unless they were stupid.
