I’m so glad to see that you got your skin checked!! I’m 25 and have already had melanoma 3 times. I will be going to the dermatologist every 6-12 months for the rest of my life, but it’s so worth it to make sure that everything is caught early. Thanks for using your platform, Shelby! It's virtually impossible to get melanoma in Seattle. It's cloudy 90% of the time.

@@joevarga5982 That’s actually a myth! Melanoma is different than other skin cancers, as it can develop because of quick, shorter bursts of sun exposure. The risk of developing melanoma doubles if you have had 5 or more sunburns in your lifetime. So really, if you’ve had burns in your life and are vacationing/getting any sort of stronger sun exposure, you can develop it. I live in MN, so I’m pretty much inside over half of the year due to our winters and I’ve still been diagnosed. It’s fantastic that Shelby went and got her skin checked!

I like that seattle doesn't have too many chains places actually. That said, homegrown is pretty good (although there's some drama with their workers starting a union) and Evergreens is OK if you want a salad in a pinch, though I agree Sweetgreen and Chopt are better.

I recommend Evergreens as a good substitute for Sweetgreen! It's super similar, like you get to customize salads and bowls, and the veggies to choose from are all tasty. And for another salad and healthy place, I also recommend Homegrown - there's one close to the art museum in downtown. I've had such good, healthy lunches from that place. For burgers and such, being close to the waterfront means you're close to Great State burger and possibly Skillet Renegade. Great State is super fast with local ingredients, while Skillet has delicious burgers and brunch options for takeout.

My go to for healthy salads in Seattle is HeartBeat cafe and Bounty kitchen (chicken not fried salad is amazing) they are both in upper Queen Anne but I usually order delivery. Recently got a build your own salad at Home Grown that was decent but Im still trying to find more places! Oh and PCC Market is downtown now they have great prepared food.

Good vlog! So glad you got that external portable SSD, that'll help a lot when editing and transferring files. After having a computer with an SSD, it's so hard to go back to a traditional hard drive. Next up, getting one of the new Mac Book Pro M2 or a 14" or 16" Mac Book Pro with an M1 Pro or Max chip will also help speed things up a lot too. Glad you got your skin checked and all was well!

I’m on a ton of iron… I tried to take it in liquid form but couldn’t stomach it. There are a few prenatal vits that are easy on the stomach and much more easily digestible. They’re just as expensive as the liquid - maybe less!

Shelby, what type of doctor did you go to for your skin? A dermatologist or primary care family doctor? Or some specialized type of doctor? I want to get my skin checked too. I read somewhere that alcohol, cigarettes, and sun can age the of skin a lot. And I walk to work everyday (I should start putting on sunscreen!
