I'm making a variety of cupcakes for Thanksgiving...Note...I've never made anything other than a boxed cake in my life and I just made these lemon cupcakes from scatch...fresh lemon zest and lemon juice and all... I haven't even tasted them yet but I tasted the batter...and let me tell you. It was GOOOOOD. I already know these cupcakes are going to be amazing. They smell wonderful...they turned out perfectly baked and golden brown. I'm going to fill and icing them Thursday morning. I love everything lemon and this recipe is the BEST!! I tried baking this last week for my husband's bday as a sheet pan cake together with the lemon curd and the frosting. I just struggled splitting the cake into two cos it was so moist and buttery but I was happy I was able to put the filling in. This is my favorite lemon cupcake recipe so far. The cake, lemon curd and the frosting perfectly blends together! I nearly cried when I tasted the cake 😂 it was so so goood! Will definitely make this one again 😍

I made the cupcakes!! They were soooo moist, and they stayed moist for quite a while. I accidently left them out for over 2 days, and they still tasted fresh as ever. 9/10 would recommend.

Hi there! Yes regular yoghurt should be fine :) and because this recipe uses the creaming process you will need to use butter unfortunately otherwise you won't get the same results :)

I’ve made the cupcakes and they turned out very good even when i had them the next day. I stored them in the fridge over night covered, and the next day they were still very moist! Everyone loved them!

Hey dear, Thanks for another wonderful recipe. Although I have tried many of your recipes and each one of them turned put to be great, I don’t know what I did wrong with this one even after trying 4 times. The first prob I see is that my wet mixture never turned out to be this fluffy before adding eggs. It was more of like grainy and some what flowy. What I understand is, you are making it bit fluffy. Any suggestions you have here ?

Just wnna let u know that I made them and it was a successful! And soo soo delicious! Great recipe and this earned my trust! I must say, Somehow my creamed butter texture for the cake didn't turn out like yours (mine was rather slurry kind of butter) but it baked beautifully and turned out same like video. Soft and fluffy! The lemon curd was the highlight and worth the extra step!! However, the cream cheese icing is a lil' too sweet for my liking so if anyone's reading this doesn't like too much sweet, reduce the sugar in icing 😊
