@@Notpoop906 I'm a out boxer jab based fighter. Ive landed upwards of 400 jabs across 12 rounds on players using Ali and Robinson and they just eat the jabs and blast back with hook spam. There is no effective damage done by my jabs to the head or body. The judges also do not seem to score my jabs. This is proven. Jab needs damage increase across the board.

@@jansendawe9212 not only the jab, but I don’t like the way fighters stand up straight with their legs close together in one spot, square on throwing straight punches with no snap. That also has to change as it doesn’t look authentic. Also, the way they stand and move when they block, almost as if they are slightly tilted forward awkwardly kinda needs to be addressed as well. I think that has more to do with the skeletal mesh they used for the fighters not really having a full range of motion, muscle and joint wise due to limitations of the game engine (Unity) maybe, the lack of complexity when it comes to the skeleton they used to overlay the animations onto as well.

I think they should add really realistic bruising and damage on players after they get punched. There should be doctor's stoppage too (though rare. Or at least an option you can turn on/off). Lastly, they should add career mode and make it the best as they can. Like realistic press conference where you chose some dialogues yourself like the dialogue option shown in the video

No its not video games are never a great way of getting into combat sports, Most people don’t play boxing or MMA games for sim they play it for online matches, They learn no technique irl combat instead they learn what works in video games, Just look at UFC for example so many people got into UFC cuz of Connor and the video game, but when you see them fight irl, they cant even throw up a proper guard, they have no technique, it should be the opposite where kids should start off in the gym and then get into the video games, Fight Night and UFC games have actually just made kids think they can actually fight just because the game they play smh

Bltv... I love you so much! You make boxing feel great again! One thing I'm worried about this game is that it only has one configuration for controls. On fight night you had options just like fifa to suit your style... I prefer the one button for each punch and the bumpers for signature punches, body punchers, blocking and to turn your shots into hooks... so much better, better control feels more free and fluid, takes more skill imo instead of just rolling that damn stick around!

Great video bringing attention to this game, this is the first I've heard of it, and based on this I'll pick it up if only to support the devs and hope for success for them. I've also dreamed of a modern boxing video game but in the 1st person simulation mold. That would be a real challenge, but if it could be done it could be absolutely amazing. My grandfather loved boxing as did my father, so as I was growing up I’d watch boxing with them every week (born in 81). To this day, being a boxing fan and a gamer as well, my favorite boxing game os Fight Night 3 on PS3. The thing that made the PS3 version my favorite was the first person mode. It just felt so awesome to me. The following games in the series were good, but never quite matched that feeling that Fight Night 3 did…..

This is a very good game, all things considered. The biggest issue in my opinion is that if you actually use the jab, it’s easy to block and I believe that the easy blocks are what breaks the judges score. It makes me not want to jab because it’s counting against my score.

1. Firstly they need to increase the frame rate massively 120 FPS and speed of the punches 2. They should also get the HBO cast to do the commentary - Larry Merchant, Jim Lampley and add in UK's Ian Darke 3. We need visual damage, cuts, blood, bruising, swelling etc 4. They have to add legends (my personal favourites are Mike Tyson, Naseem Hamed, Barerra, Morales, Pacman, Calzaghe, Lennox, Holyfield)

I had an xbox 360 plugged into my TV only for fight night champion the past 10 years, I can safely say I've now retired it. Great review, and some very valid criticism. I think given the very early state of the game, theres a lot that's going to come over the months and maybe years ahead to improve many of the aspects mentioned. I've had this from day one, and along with being a beta tester I can say it's definitely evolved quite a bit from the original beta, and I expect the evolution will continue at a pretty steady speed. Given what this team has pulled off, and my earlier expectations when ESBC disappeared from steam (thought it was dead in the water), they've proven they're a proper team, and in this for the long run - I just hope they get the appreciation and attention they deserve (you had some good ideas on that element too, and I hope they see this). In terms of the main features I'd like to see added next, a replay system would be fantastic, along with some new animations. I also think a few more boxers to add more variety (as you had mentioned) is a must, being from the UK I also agree there's far too many UK boxers!

The design encourages unrealistic "spamming". I.E. you might think a jab, left hook and right cross would be a good combo, you're better off throwing 3 left hooks. This is because the game decides being rocked on how damaged a part of your body is. i.e. those 3 left hooks will cause the right side of the opponent's face to take damage where as that other combo will spread the damage over the face rather than concentrate it on one area. I think they should change this aspect so that the parts of the head only matter in cuts/bruises but there is only "head" damage which contributes to being rocked/KO

The disagree with having minigame in the between the rounds. It just holds up a match having to dink around. It's more important to be able to skip it and get back to the action. They finally figured out a good way of doing it in Fight Night Champion and having the fighter be able to regain health.

Agreed. Nothing has topped round 3 yet. Every game since has been rockem sockem. I do like undisputed a lot though and hope it improves. I think the fact that punches track is why boxing games are not good anymore. It makes it to hard to use defense. Which is why these games just become rockem sockem. Where you just are exchanging the whole Fight. Pull counters and block counters are the only viable defenses .

Because the power punches are so easily avoided and countered and when you do counter them you can land so many strikes back making the power move a HUGE gamble to do against someone who knows how to play.. It’s the most technical game 100%. The lean mattered SO much. 4-5 counters in a row and you could start to rock you opponent. Things had actual consequences in this game. Everything mattered

Another issue for me is all the boxers fight the same, you don't see a inside or outside boxer. Like Marciano hasn't got his tucked chin or coming in low, he fights like everyone else in an upright position no variation in defence I.e. philly shell and again on marciano you could add in special moves like a Suzie Q or a Gazelle hook. You could have rope a dope for Ali and Fury, like a super fast combo if they have Amir Khan on it.

What i have been missing in this game is the wave movement you could do by doing a semicircle in your direction joystick to wave inside the opponent like in fight night champion, that helped a lot using short boxers to get inside the "punch zone" when someone was trying to run away or situations where you gotta wave inside. Like peek a boo sytle. I really find annoying and unrealistic that someone runing away just by moving backwards or to the sides can outplay the opponent so easy. Its not easy to keep distance in real life guess why? Because i can ruuuuuuuun. Legs do run. In this game looks like you are only allowed to run when the opponent is dizzy. If they work on that stuff then this game will get better and better.

This game has so much potential. Fight night Champion was a great game but is more than 10 years old now. This game could be a worthy successor if the Devs can take their time to polish what they have! Here's hoping.

Fight Night was an amazing game. I have gone 12 rounds with a good friend, in the middle of a house party! 😂 He won by judge's decision. It was as close as you can get! Side note: We used to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour as well. Actually a REALLY fun game when you're drunk. Trying to hit bombs! 😁

@@PRYVTgomerPYLE I recommend driver sanfrinsco. It don't have online but split screen. I don't even like most car games. But it really is a fun multiplayer in same room game . Probably be cheap too

Excellent review; really liked your ideas for improving the game and how you presented them. It's annoying that they put the stamina/health meters at the bottom of the screen where they blend in so much with the ropes; your eyes stay closer to the top of the screen and there's mostly empty, dark space up there so they'd be better at the top. Also I can't believe they couldn't do better cloth physics for the shorts after all these years. I wanna support this but I demand better

I can tell you know what you're talking about (I enjoyed Fight Night games so much!). Unfortunately, I'm afraid they won't do what you suggested. First because software houses are usually "deaf" to what fans ask. Second, because they are a small SH (even if they did great till now).. I just can hope I'm wrong!!

Let's all get the game. It's $30! If they make a tonne of money they can work towards giving us the boxing game we boxing fans want. They have proven how passionate they are about it. Would setup an even better sequel.

If this was E.A. I'd be very critical but the fact that these new guys are trying to give the fans something that alone has earned my patience and hopefully they can improve on it and have a great game later on down the line I'm supporting all the way good or bad
